Still, the Democrats are in such a bad position right now, I&#39;m not sure that they could even pull that off. I&#39;ve been following these shenanigans for most of my life, and I still wouldn&#39;t make a bet on what is going to happen finally.<br /><br />In the Massachusett(e)s race, I&#39;ve rarely enjoyed watching the Democrats dissemble quite so much. They are truly desperate. Bad candidate, bad campaigning, bad publicity, bad everything. The Democrats are so busy attacking the Republican that they haven&#39;t noticed they&#39;re offending a large segment of the independents with cracks like &quot;tea-baggers.&quot; And the <i>piece de resistance</i> is that Obama is forced to show up and support a terrible candidate. He&#39;s damned if he does, and damned if he doesn&#39;t.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Obama&#39;s special ambassador to Haiti, one Bill Clinton, is fulfilling his task to the people of Haiti by making speeches in Massachusetts. Propping up a sock-puppet Democrat is more important than going to the nation that has suffered an unimaginable disaster.
