Every day brings more disturbing news from the extreme left in this country. You know, the same people that have asked us on the right for a nicer tone when we discuss politics, after they spent years exercising their free speech Bush-bashing. The same ones who told us to STFU after Barry was elected when we disagreed with the direction we saw him taking the country. The same ones who have used union thugs to intimidate and threaten those who oppose their positions. The same ones who Occupy and defecate on police vehicles. The same ones who have called for Walker's death following Wisconsin's recall results last week. Those folks.
Well here's one of the most disturbing, not to mention illegal, tactics they are taking to shut down their fierce opposition: Blogger SWAT-ings.
What is a blogger SWAT-ing?
This from a letter Congressman Kenny Marchant (TX-24) sent to Eric Holder explains the level to which the left will stoop:
It has been brought to my attention that many of these harassing
actions are dangerous hoaxes popularly known as “SWAT-ting.” SWAT-ting
involves someone contacting the police with a false report of a violent
incident at the home of the target. It is further believed that
perpetrators are using advanced telecommunications technology to mask
the real location of their contact with police. Local police then
respond to the target’s home under the false pretense that the call
originated inside of the home which also hides the true identity of the
caller. Victims are left with a significant police presence at their
home which is not only embarrassing but could potentially be dangerous.
I am asking the Department of Justice to immediately investigate this
alarming trend of SWAT-tings.
Asshats.

Those of us who have been blogging for conservatism since Barry took office have known that the extreme left would not play nice, but they have entered a new realm of sickness that even we couldn't have predicted.
Their mommas must be so proud.

The only good thing about this story is that it provides opportunity to use the term "asshattery" as in:
Leftist asshattery such as S.W.A.T.-ting is liable to end up with somebody dead.
-OR-
Mother says, "It's not fun when someone loses an eye," but asshattery presumes that this is when the fun begins.

This is absolutely obscene that anyone would think this is acceptable behavior. Even taking the politics out of it, you've got reckless endangerment of the victim, their family, the cops, the neighbors. And what about the people who get shot somewhere across town because the cops are busy?
This needs to be stopped and the person/people need to be sent away for a very long time.
Ditto on the death threats. It's time we put an end to this culture of hate by charging these people with the crimes they are committing and making them spend some time in jail. That is the only way to stop misbehavior like this!

it's such an aberration of human decency. i approve prosecuting.
