Yesterday, we viewed Homeland's RACIST! video about how middle-class white dudes are being profiled by da governments because they are obviously committing most of the terroristic crimes. Today, we talk about a white dude who is ACTUALLY a day-terrorist....in Norway.
Here's what I know about that:
* Dude had lost his ever-livin' mind.
* Dude was loaded for bear; no gun law would have stopped that kind o'crazy.
* Had one person had a concealed weapon, carried lawfully, this dude would have been toast. Or at least that's how it would have played in Texas.
* Dude had to RELOAD a few times to kill as many folks as he did. Again, had this happened in Texas, even a granny could have taken him down in the time it took police to respond to the scene (a reported 90 minutes. AN HOUR AND A HALF, PEOPLE. Even eating a leisurely lunch at Chili's doesn't take that long.). I know I wouldn't have hesitated to draw a bead on the bastard.
* MSM jumped all over the fact that he was #1) WHITE and #2) OMG! HE'S WHITE AND WE BET HE'S A CONSERVATIVE! Like their ilk, lunatic libnuts, haven't been involved in killing folks lately. I was out-of-town when I heard the first report and it was incredibly slanted within too short of a period after the shooting to know much about this crazy asshat. Even if everything they were reporting was true, wow, it was stunning to listen to the MSM thugs salivate over the bodies of each and every victim killed by this guy. 80 KILLED! YESYESYES!!!
* I don't give a crap if this guy was a conservative or a libbie or an independent. I care that he had this kind of unchecked power to kill and maim. He's admitted to it. He surrendered to the police and said as much. String him up. Or better yet, give him an unarmed head-start, arm the victim's families, and let justice be done.
* This story is tragic and horrifying, but it has nothing to do with being a cautionary tale about what happens when people own guns. It's the exact opposite. Guns save lives. Responsible ownership, carrying concealed, saves lives. If you doubt that statement, then surely you agree that had you been in this lunatic's path, your convictions for strict gun control would have been tested to be true. WHEW! Thank God (or the tree you worship), I didn't have a gun to protect myself! Yay!
And that's where being a libbie gets you, where supporting unhinged government gun control gets you, where not thinking your ill-conceived, based on fantasy, convictions through: shot in the head by a madman with no way to protect yourself.

A 90-minute response time?? Jesus, I hadn't heard that detail. What possible excuse do they have for that? How anyone could see being armed against that kind of horror as a bad thing is beyond me. And heck yeah, the guy has admitted it...give him to the families and turn your back.

every time a lib tells me about how they hate people who own guns, i'm gonna ask: would you have wanted the right to have one against this madman? if they answer "no" they are lying. if they answer "yes" they are a hypocrite and need to rethink their convictions.
the big takeaway here is that libs not only give lip-service to stupidity, but they insist you get on the bandwagon with them. FOR THE CHILDREN! FOR THE TREES!

The other thing that really amazes me is that they say the maximum jail time would be 21 years and that minimum would be 7. If ever there was a reason for the death penalty here it is. Oh yeah, the libs are against that also. This guy should be put away forever at a minimum.

On the jail time, by the way, 21 is the maximum. He's likely to get parole in 14 and weekend releases in 7. Nice huh?

Patti, Could you imagine if they let this guy out on a weekend and he did it again? And seriously, what kind of deterrent is 21 years -- especially if it's only 14.
Plus, I've been reading about their jails. They sound more like group homes. The guards are encouraged to befriend the prisoners, they eat with them, they don't even have weapons.

This guy was a sociopath, but he wasn't crazy. He knew exactly what he was doing - just like McVeigh, Hassan, Lougher, Bin Laden, and all the rest of them. The part that bugs me is that he was intelligent enough to put his scheme into effect, but not intelligent enough to realize that while he might have "won the battle" he's certainly going to "lose the war." Killing people only works to coerce the rest when the perpetrator(s) remain at large and can use the force of fear to influence the populace. Killing a bunch of kids at summer camp doesn't do anything except turn popular opinion against him completely. If Norway's penal system will set this dirtbag free in 14 years, they deserve to lose more of their citizens to his next assault. Hopefully, the Norwegians wake up to the fact that some criminals need to actually be punished for their crimes and force their government to change the system.
