Frances Fox Piven is a shining example of the left's disconnect with ordinary Americans. They believe they are right (oopsie) when it is obvious to anyone with minimally firing neurons, they are simply buying their own deluded spin.
She proves the right's point by merely opening her mouth and letting her words fall out...
To recap:

* implying that the right has RACIST feelings about an "African American in the White House..." (snorezzzzville, overplayed, and a bald-faced lie, Francie. perhaps you are projecting.)
* ...older, relatively comfortable, all white, backward-looking voters... Wait, she left out anyone of color in the Tea Party who considers themselves conservative. Oh, riiiiiight, there aren't any. Siily me, whatever was I thinking?!
* There was a lot of spending that was redistributional in the stimulus bill... She likey. Don't you? You don't?! Shhhh, keep it to yourself. Libbies no likey when you disagree, even if, hell especially if, it's based on fact. Then it's hate speech, you bigot.
All this from an honorary chair of the Democratic Socialists of America. Yep, she's part of the movement that wants to take what you have to give to some other slacker who has not. Give till it hurts....you!

And sex? Really? That's what she's got? Older "white" American's are upset about sex? Oh, I forgot to mention, "These comfortable Americans". I wonder how much she pulls down each year and how well her accountant joggles the numbers.
Like most leftists she refuses to address real issues and continues to play the race card, or the sex card, or the "they don't want to share what they worked so hard for all their lives" card.
Shame on my parents and grandparents for thinking they have a right to their own money and their own comfort after working their tails off all those years.
Nice look into the mind of a leftist. Their world is occupied by racists, sexists, ageists, handicapists, gay-haters, union-haters, and (insert allied interest group)-haters.
What they are doing is reflecting their own fears and prejudices and reflecting those on everyone around them. Their "America" is a made-up world of paranoid, conspiracy and fear, and it has nothing to do with the real America.
These people truly are sick, and they need mental help.

Their theme song should be: "Wishing Will Make It So." They think that government can be made perfect by magical incantations like the Democratic Socialist creed. It also requires a beehive mentality so that all us worker bees do the same tasks day after day without thinking. Unfortunately for them, humans aren't bees, and wishing won't make it so.
Patti, that's what they want to believe. That's why they pretend to believe in concepts of "human dignity" and "equality," but what they seem not to grasp is that they only believe in these ideas for certain people.
