Wednesday Wankers

To environmental bed-wetters who love them some Barry, prepare for meltdown in 3...2...

In a reversal of a long-standing ban on most offshore drilling, President Barack Obama is allowing oil drilling 50 miles off Virginia's shorelines. At the same time, he is rejecting some new drilling sites that had been planned in Alaska.

Obama's plan offers few concessions to environmentalists, who have been strident in their opposition to more
oil platforms off the nation's shores. Hinted at for months, the plan modifies a ban that for more than 20 years has limited drilling along coastal areas other than the Gulf of Mexico.

Shocked that he says one thing, yet does another? Really?! Time to stop sorting the recyclables and start paying attention. PAY ATTENTION! Your dude is a dud.

ALERT: Really bad segue to the healthcare debacle ahead...

What's a little healthcare "fix" that doesn't include unrelated health items? Hello, Pell Grants!

Wait....WHAT?!

MSNBC: The White House said the change would save taxpayers $68 billion over the next decade. The money saved will help expand and strengthen the federal Pell Grant program for students. The change will cap college graduates' annual student loan repayments at 10 percent of their income, spends more at community colleges and awards $2.55 billion to historically black colleges and universities.

That's what I'm talking about. Push through an URGENT healthcare bill and then stick a lil' sum'in sum'in in it for good measure. Pay close attention to the wording: ...will cap...annual student loan repayments at 10% of their income. Gosh darn it, that Barry is the bomb diggity. He is soooo concerned about new grad's ability to pay back these loans that he's gonna go all nice guy and cap them at 10% of income.

He fails to mention that the government stands to gain more than the usual bucket-loads of interest money off these same already overburdened students because when you cap payments at 10% of income, the time it takes to pay off the loans is increased. Small detail.

Students who lurv Barry and voted for him because your mommy did, allow me to introduce you to my environmental bed-wetting friends. You can commiserate over cake...until Barry decides that he needs that too.

Lastly, in my efforts to keep you pissed on all sides of the aisle:

Top Republicans are increasingly worried that GOP candidates this fall might be burned by a fire that's roaring through the conservative base: demand for the repeal of President Barack Obama's new health care law.

It's fine to criticize the health law and the way Democrats pushed it through Congress without a single GOP vote, these party leaders say. But focusing on its outright repeal carries two big risks. Repeal is politically and legally unlikely, and grass-roots activists may feel disillusioned by a failed crusade. More important, say strategists from both parties, a fiercely repeal-the-bill stance might prove far less popular in a general election than in a conservative-dominated GOP primary, especially in states such as Illinois and California.

Democrats are counting on that scenario. They say more Americans will learn of the new law's benefits over time and anger over its messy legislative pedigree will fade. For months, Democrats have eagerly catalogued Republican congressional candidates who pledge to repeal the health care law, vowing to make them pay in November.

Who are these "worried" Republican leaders, cowering in the shadow of Barry's "Go For It!"? Why, my very own Senator, John Cornyn. A man I feel certain wants the presidency, as every move he's made is calculated and careful towards that end. This particular move is way too careful for my tastes.

Hey John, yes those of us shouting for repeal know it's a risky endeavor, and we feel with a big risk comes a big reward. We feel we MUST REPEAL this law. If you can't support that, I suggest you get the hell out of our way.

In recent public comments, they have quietly played down the notion of repealing the law while emphasizing claims that it will hurt jobs, the economy and the deficit.

Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, who chairs the committee responsible for electing GOP senators this fall, said in an interview, "The focus really should be on the misplaced priorities of the administration" and Congress' Democratic leaders.

Dude, you are such a disappointment. The Dem leadership has to be clapping their hands at this story. WE BEAT THEM AT TOP LEVELS! Seriously. You may be from Texas, but I think the honorable thing for you to do would be to hand over your boots. You've forgotten how to use them. (unless the plan is to lull the dems into thinking they've beaten us, then BRILLIANT!, keep the boots! but, somehow i don't think you are that good at this game...)

Stay pissed, mah babies!

Blatant Lies

The Complete List of Obama Statement Expiration Dates

That's right, I'm starting Tuesday morning with a brutal eye poke and a didn't-see-that-coming gut punch to anyone who thinks they have a leg to stand on supporting Barry and his apparent inability to tell the truth.

YOU LIE!

Those of you who were duped, time to own up to the fact that you supported this failure of a candidate/president because you wanted to believe the image and refused to look past his shiny deceptive charm to his rusty undercarriage of just holding it together until you elected his ass into office. The time has come for you to assess if you should continue to do support his insanity.

You are either with him, or with Americans who understand the value of freedom from our government's death grip. There is no middle road here. To believe that there is a middle road to be taken is dangerously naive: That is why I want my own Tea Party. I want a Tea Party of the radical center.

Fence-sitters have no place in governing, in leading.

Here's just one idea the author proposes: The radical center is “radical” in its desire for a radical departure from politics as usual. It advocates: raising taxes to close our budgetary shortfalls, but doing so with a spirit of equity and social justice...

Social justice and equity based on whose idea? Mine? His? My idea's will lean heavily right and, just an educated guess based on the wording in the article, his ideas will lean heavily left. Conclusion: The radical center idea of governing, while trying to appeal to your goodness, is plainly a new name for liberalism.

No thanks.

The left is out in force desperately trying to snare the gullible into the trap of believing what it is they want you to believe. That they are holding up the Tea Party movement as the bones for their movement means they are in trouble. They are feverishly attempting to hijack their formidable opponent's strength and make it their own. Saddy sad saddies. Since they don't understand the whys of our convictions, they have no chance in hell to pull it off. It's merely noise.

But, they're good at noise. We can't make the mistake of underestimating the strength or underhandedness of their fight or of becoming complacent or smug in ours. This fight will go to the vigilant, to the alert, to the ones who want it the most. We must fight back on every front. They make noise, we in turn logically dissect their disease then offer the antidote in order to overcome. Simple as that.

Example: The left accused Tea Party members of shouting the N-word at black members of Congress, yet when asked for the proof none could be given. Most Americans were horrified to read the headlines of such a thing happening, especially coming from a group that has offered so much hope in their efforts for all Americans. But wait a sec, seems the left is caught with their lie on:

So in a recent AP column, Michael Blood says it’s up to Andrew Breitbart to prove that Tea Partiers didn’t yell the N-word in Washington last Sunday.

He writes:

“Conservative columnist Andrew Breitbart disputed accounts that tea party activists in Washington shouted racial epithets at black members of Congress amid the health care debate, although he didn’t provide any evidence.”

“Although he didn’t provide any evidence.”

Okay, this would be funny if it wasn’t so slimy.

I mean, first of all – The burden of proof is on the person making the accusation. And get this: Breitbart put up 100 grand, to be donated to the United Negro College Fund – if anyone provided evidence. So far, nothing – which is why the AP writer, is left grasping for brain cells.

This is a classic left tactic. Yell RACIST! about the folks that oppose you and then the focus of the conversation turns from the issues at hand to how those Tea Party folks are horribly RACIST people.

In this day of cell phones with video capabilities and video cams, especially in a large crowd, no one caught this on film? And is the left joking? The burden of proof is on the accused?

I love that Andrew offered 100 grand for the proof. Yet, nothing. Huh, could it be the left is inciting their own brand of hate? Naaaaaaaah. In order to restore what we have lost, we must meet them toe to toe at every lie, at every false accusation. We must.

Look, every organization has a few wackadoodles, the Tea Party can't escape this fate, but for the most part this organization is full of good-intentioned, smart, ain't-gonna-take-it-anymore Americans of all party affiliations who are tired of Washington taking what isn't theirs.

That Barry said this this morning goes to show the spinning in this administration is taking place from the top down: President Barack Obama says he believes the Tea Party is built around a "core group" of people who question whether he is a U.S. citizen and believe he is a socialist.

He couldn't be more mistaken about the core group, but then again, I have come to expect nothing less from this man and his tactics: lie and call it truth.

Which brings us full circle to the list that opened up this post.

We can't afford to support the left, to support a party that surrendered their supposed values for bribes, to support a party that was bent to the will of one by threats, to support a party that accuses any who oppose them of being racists, and naively hope for the best anymore.

To those of you who voted for this hot mess, we hold no grudges, but your fun-time unicorn dreams are over; welcome to the real world. Won't you pull your boots on and join us? There is no time to lose.

Stay pissed, mah babies....

Oh Pumkins (dems), It's So Not Over...

D'UH of the Day: "Most Say Tea Party Has Better Understanding of Issues Than Congress."

By a 62% to 12% margin, Mainstream Americans say the Tea Party is closer to their views. By a 90% to one percent (1%) margin, the Political Class feels closer to Congress.

The gap between Americans who want to govern themselves and politicians who want to rule over them may be as big today as the gap between the colonies and England during the 18th century,” Scott Rasmussen, president of Rasmussen Reports, says in his new book, In Search of Self-Governance. “If we had to rely on politicians to fix these problems, the outlook for the nation would be bleak indeed. Fortunately, in America, the politicians aren’t nearly as important as they think they are.”

Be encouraged!

This is the kind of news that you will not hear from the MSM. They want you to believe that "passions fade" and that your memory of Washington's national theft will dwindle to amnesia levels come November. Count on the MSM to pound the public with stories of how folks are embracing the colossal waste of the current health care bill. Ignore their blatant manipulation; they believe if they print their lies in an attempt to convince Americans of what they say is true, that most of you will buy it. YOU LIE! They think they still have that much power. Um, hello fellas, this isn't the 1950's anymore. We now have the Internets (thanky al gore!) and can find our own information for this fight. Just one more example of how they underestimate us.

Stay focused. Stay pissed-off, mah babies.

While the Dems were all over the airwaves Sunday telling folks to accept this vote, that it is law, that their is nothing left to do but accept that the vote didn't go their way ( IE: SHUT-IT!), Sarah Palin (love her or hate her) said it best at a Tea Party rally Saturday:

"We are not going to sit down and shut up."

Got it, Washington? Of course you don't, but that's OK, by November you'll have an inkling.

To those who still naively believe this administration has the back of this nation, who still naively believe that this destructive bill was solely about healthcare for all, who still naively believe that Barry and Crew (every. single. dem.) do not intend to enslave and remake America into their version of what is right and just, well Max Baucus let the cat out of the bag, after the vote of course:

“Too often, much of late, the last couple three years, the mal-distribution of income in American is gone up way too much, the wealthy are getting way, way too wealthy and the middle income class is left behind,” he said. “Wages have not kept up with increased income of the highest income in America. This legislation will have the effect of addressing that mal-distribution of income in America.”

Got that? Is Max being plain enough for you?

Max to American translation: Sit down and SHUT-IT. And that means you too large American businesses who are announcing the hits they will be taking as the healthcare taxes take effect:

Rep. Henry Waxman, chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, has summoned some of the nation's top executives to Capitol Hill to defend their assessment that the new national health care reform law will cost their companies hundreds of millions of dollars in health insurance expenses. Waxman is also demanding that the executives give lawmakers internal company documents related to health care finances -- a move one committee Republican describes as "an attempt to intimidate and silence opponents of the Democrats' flawed health care reform legislation."

On Thursday and Friday, the companies -- so far, they include AT&T, Verizon, Caterpillar, Deere, Valero Energy, AK Steel and 3M -- said a tax provision in the new health care law will make it far more expensive to provide prescription drug coverage to their retired employees. Now, both retirees and current employees of those companies are wondering whether the new law could mean reduced or canceled benefits for them in the future.

The news is an embarrassment for Democrats. As President Obama and congressional leaders tout the purported benefits of the new health care law, some of the nation's biggest companies are saying it will mean higher costs and fewer benefits -- not exactly what Democrats want to hear in the days after their historic victory.

Naked Truth

Read it and weep. Really. (The link is slow loading the page. Hang on!)

TIMELINE OF HIGHER TAXES AND MEDICARE CUTS IN THE DEMS BILL

And some of you thought using the word evil to describe this monstrosity was hyperbole. Silly wabbit, tricks are for Dems.

Our only choice is to repeal.

REPEAL!

Bringin' the OTC Pain

During the healthcare debate I have offered that in order to win over those who blindly approved of the "right" of Free Healthcare For All! they needed specific details of how this vomit-inducing bill would negatively impact them personally. If we could effectively do that, they would join in the fight to defeat it.

TOO LATE, SUCKAS!

How about this stinky nugget of theft:

But one of the first things millions of Americans will “see” is an effective 40 percent tax hike on the over-the-counter medicines – from an antihistamine such as Claritin for allergies, pain relief medicine such as Tylenol or Excedrin, Pedialyte to prevent their kids from becoming dehydrated when they are sick, and even prenatal vitamins if they are expecting another one.

Got that? Washington thugs are hitting you where it hurts and not only that, they are smiling and reminding you of how much you hoped for this change. YES, WE CAN! And don't start crying about how Washington can get away with this, they get away with it because we let them. Period.

But, for those of you who are still with Barry and Crew on this issue, you had a good day yesterday, didn't you? I mean it's not every day that you and Fidel Castro see eye to eye, is it. FINALLY!

What? You don't know who he is or what he stands for? He's the guy who said this: I am a Marxist Leninist and will be one until the last day of my life.

To Review:

Marxist: a theory and practice of socialism including the labor theory of value, dialectical materialism, the class struggle, and dictatorship of the proletariat until the establishment of a classless society.

Leninist: the theory and practice of communism developed by or associated with Lenin.

Cuba, IE Castro, believes it has it going on and Castro is relieved that America, well, Barry, finally got it right. Now all of those who are with Barry have taken the first step towards being like Cuba.

Cuba provides free health care and education to all its citizens, and heavily subsidizes food, housing, utilities and transportation, policies that have earned it global praise. The government has warned that some of those benefits are no longer sustainable given Cuba's ever-struggling economy, though it has so far not made major changes.

Wow. Cuba really does have it going on, doesn't it?! Can you just imagine it? You and Fidel have figured it out! BRAVO!

Prolonged austerity and the state-controlled economy's inefficiency in providing adequate goods and services have created conditions for a flourishing informal economy in Cuba. As the variety and amount of goods available in state-run peso stores has declined, Cubans have turned increasingly to the black market to obtain needed food, clothing, and household items. Pilferage of items from the work place to sell on the black market or illegally offering services on the sidelines of official employment is common, and Cuban companies regularly figure 15% in losses into their production plans to cover this. Recognizing that Cubans must engage in such activity to make ends meet and that attempts to shut the informal economy down would be futile, the government concentrates its control efforts on ideological appeals against theft and shutting down large organized operations. A report by an independent economist and opposition leader speculates that more than 40% of the Cuban economy operates in the informal sector.

Actually, Washington is gonna be more like that dude Sawyer from Lost who hoards all the stuff he can get his hands on, making all others dependent on his generosity (NOT!) for needed goods. The rest of us will be the castaways ( i dubs being the badass hot girl who hunts/knows her way around a weapon!). We are gonna be in our own version of Lost! Exciting!!!

Don't think so? What about this:

Personal income in 42 states fell in 2009, the Commerce Department said Thursday.

Nevada's 4.8% plunge was the steepest, as construction and tourism industries took a beating. Also hit hard: Wyoming, where incomes fell 3.9%. Incomes stayed flat in two states and rose in six and the District of Columbia.

The District of Columbia? D.C.? Income ROSE in WASHINGTON, D.C.?! Worried yet? Is this making any sense? It is to Fidel. He's a happy camper that Barry and Crew are leading us down this road.

It's not too late, you know. We can still decide to change planes, or take a train, or my choice, let's take back control and drive ourselves. We can start in November. Start. It won't finish the job ahead, but it will be a firm start.

Barry is out and about in the country mocking those of us who demand our freedoms, who oppose Fidel's way. He's telling the opposition that he has your support for our journey to Cubaland. He's nanny-nanny-boo-booing us, double-dog daring us, to oppose him because he believes that it means we oppose you, and the reason he is so drunk on his power is because he thinks you are too dull to get it. He thinks you are too enamored with his image, too believing of his lies, too caught up in slogans to see through to his true intent. He is banking on your sheepiness, on your apathy, on your disbelief that what IS happening could really happen here in America. No other way to put it, my friends. What's a little socialism, right?

IOWA CITY, IOWA (AP) - President Barack Obama mocked Republicans' campaign to repeal his new health care law, saying they should "Go for it" and see how well they fare with voters.

"Be my guest," Obama said Thursday in the first of many appearances around the country to sell the overhaul to voters before the fall congressional elections. "If they want to have that fight, we can have it. Because I don't believe the American people are going to put the insurance industry back in the driver's seat."

Go for it. Be my guest. If they want to have that fight, we can have it.

We would love you to join us, but if you don't I suggest you get the hell out of our way.

Those who oppose Washington's takeover plan on going toe to toe with those dismantling America. We will not be intimidated into silence. We will not stop our push back. We will continue the good fight until it is won. Period.

Now, who's up for a Target run for OTCs while the getting's good?

Washinton IS The Threat

Gibbs: You got your camera here and you're confused.

Oh Bobbie, we think WASHINGTON is confused, but I'll let my readers decide, since that's still allowed in America (for the moment).

Is this what the dems are calling threats to their safety and intimidation?! HE HAS A CAMERA AND IS ASKING ME POINTED QUESTIONS! AAAACCCKKKK!

Next up: The people voted for change so they should just shut-up (SHUT YOUR MOUTH!)

Note To The Young Folk I Love So Much: Please, dear God, I am begging you, take the time to learn about what is happening to YOUR country. Do not take your mom's word, your auntie's word, your granny's word and make it your own. You like to think you are so independent, so hip to the world, so plugged in, but from the 20 somethings I know the exact opposite is true. You can barely form an opinion about what is being done to you (and it IS being done to you) because you are dependent on others to make up your mind, you are not informed, in fact, you are being duped.

Have the courage to investigate the issues, to form your own informed opinions through research and effort, before it is too late.

On the off-chance that you haven't heard this one yet (What, are you living in a cave?!): Rep. Dingell (berry)...Control the people.

Yes, he meant that literally. You youngsters who take the political word of your mommy/auntie/granny and make it your own without regard to truth, should look that word up. Go on. We'll wait.

Lalallllaaaaallalal laaaa llalalaalal...

Done? Shocking, isn't it?! And yes, they will do it. Take them at their word. What's that? You don't like the idea of them controlling you? GOOD. Welcome to the club. There's a pair of boots in the closet. Go put them on and join us back here. Happy to have you.

Note To Dumbass Dems Who Get Their Panties In A Bunch Concerning The Boots: While the threat to boot your asses out of office in November is literal, the threat to kick your ass is figurative. Stop crying about how offensive we are when the fact is your actions to ram through healthcare, a program you refuse to enroll in, at the overwhelming objections of Americans is the root of all offensiveness.

If any one group needs to shut-it, it would be you all.

Roger L. Simon wrote an open letter to Steny Hoyer that addresses the alleged threats of violence. While condemning any threat, he makes his point (go read the entire letter...it's a short, but worthwhile read):

You have reaped a whirlwind by subverting a democracy. Now you must deal with it. The Democratic Party is no longer “progressive” or “liberal.” It is reactionary. And you and your cohorts have forever defined yourselves as reactionary politicians.

Violence is to be condemned, but so is the desecration of a great democracy.

The Party of Yes, We Can! can't have it both ways. They can't assault our beloved liberty and not expect any push-back. Are they new here?!

Because many of you come here for encouragement and reassurance that this. isn't. over. I will leave you with an American inspiration, Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (POLITICAL BADASS ALERT!):

If you are work and can't watch with speakers on, go HERE for the text.

God Bless America and God Speed Patriots.

Game On

The feel good ads on healthcare have started. The morning "news" shows are illustrating on white boards how health care is GOOD FOR YOU! Hollywood is crowing: In your face tea-baggers! (man, they just can't stop with the tea-bagging. well, it's true, you talk most about what you love...) This parade of giddy is having the opposite effect on me; it's serving as my fuel to defeat all the mofos that think they have won this fight. Each time I see a smiling face explaining what a historic, monumental, amazing, FINALLY HERE! thing healthcare is, I am drinking it in and storing it for the slog ahead. GLUG-GLUG-GLUG...bring it.

One thing I have noticed as I root around the Internets (thanky al gore!) is there is very little intelligent conversation or even a basic logical argument offered in support FOR this law. The proponents are either blatant/blind Barry followers (baaaaaaaa) OR they think of health care as a right. When confronted with the glaring problems of this stupidity (we can no longer call it ignorance), such as the growing taxes in the face of a near depression, the affront to the Constitution or the glaring fact that whatever the government takes over becomes a red-taped waste pit of horror, they have no solid rebuttal. They revert to name-calling, accusations of heartlessness and outright cruelty.

I feel as if they are rebellious children who want their way no matter what and it's the job of those against such a takeover to hold our ground and parent wisely no matter how much they scream that they hate us. Yes, I know that analogy will infuriate. Now, go to your room and when you can calm down we'll talk!

My point to this observation is to remind us that the onslaught of remaking healthcare's destructive image is upon us. DO NOT BE SWAYED. I don't care how many sweet-faced babies they use in the ads (sweet pumpkins!), or if they use music you can dance to ( i LOVE that song!), or if they make you cry with the saddest stories they can make up about those who are uninsured (omgosh! we MUST have universal healthcare NOW!), you must remember what Washington has rammed through Congress is an outrage, a deviously planned and executed take over of biblical proportions. This law must not stand. Do not be lulled into complacency by the garbage ads they want you to believe. Those commercials and "news" show segments (MSM is their mouthpiece) are merely one more tool to bend you to their will. They think you're that gullible.

Bad boyfriend's are so predictable; he beat the holy hell out of you on Sunday and here he is already on your doorstep with sweet babies and music you love and telling you how happy he is that you are still his.

Instead of grabbing your helmets, I want you to pull on your ass-kickin' boots. Got 'em? Good. Now, KICK. HIS. ASS. TO. THE. CURB.

Yesterday I linked to Commentarama and their checklist of things you can do now that the legislation has passed and been signed into law. If you haven't clicked over to read the list, I suggest you do it today. Then pass it along to your friends. Item 2.c. on the list:

C. Don’t Give Liberals A Free Pass
For too long, conservatives have lived with the mantra that they didn’t want to offend liberals by speaking their minds. Liberals, on the other hand, have no such qualms. So you put up with them and you never fire back. Stop that now. It’s time to speak your mind. Ridicule this bill. Point out how it doesn’t do what they think it does. Let them know that you are now actively supporting anyone who will repeal it, and that you will, for the rest of your life, support anyone who is working to fight liberalism in any form. They are not used to opposition. Bring it.

This is key as the WH/MSM/Hollywood blitz has begun to win over conservatives. Do not let them go unchallenged. Conservatives MUST grow a backbone. Conservatives MUST learn how to get in the trenches with the enemy and fight back...AND MEAN IT. Conservatives MUST understand that being polite with radical liberals will get you slapped in the head and stabbed in the back (and then because they pushed through healthcare, you'll have to wait to see a doc for your mortal wounds...DEAD!). Conservatives MUST believe they have the right to open their mouths and, when it comes to it (because it will come to it) use their fighting words.

I am sick to death of conservatives talking BIG but refusing to back it up. DON'T MAKE ME COME UP THERE. Listen, if a regular gal from Texas can get it right, I expect everyone else to as well.

Yes, I am pissed as hell, and you should be too. I understand some of you have never had to fight back before; I understand that it's a hard place to stand; I understand that you may need guidance from those of us who have used our knuckles for more than just a ring-stop. And I'm good with that. That's why so many of us are here; we want to be a help in the storm.

Do not be afraid. We can do this, we can take back what they have taken from us, but we need every voice in the fight. We need you and you and you and you....

As we move towards November, Washington is counting on you to forgive them (it's the reason for the sweet happy ad blitz) and will do everything in their power, use every manipulation they know, to make that a reality. I say we beat them at their own twisted game, on their terms, on their turf.

Game on, my pretties.

What Now?

Show of hands: How many of you, upon hearing of The One's deathcare package passing the vote, took an inventory of the medical procedures you have been putting off and are currently checking with your docs to get them taken care of before the onslaught of governmental red tape and general ineptitude of someone else making those decisions for you?

WHOA! That's a lot of hands.

Please humor me one more time. Show of hands: How many of you, upon hearing of The One's deathcare package passing the vote became ill, either figuratively or literally?

YIKES!!!! That's a tsunami of hands.... I wonder if Barry knew that from day one of passage, he'd be making us sick.

What can we do now? It is the question of the moment. It was to be my topic for today, but as luck would have it, my friends over at Commentarama beat me to it. Go HERE and print this entry out, tape it where you can see it everyday and start working your way down the list. When finished, repeat.

Repealing isn't going to be easy. Repealing is going to take time, years even. I know you are tired of fighting a small group of people reshaping everything you value; I'm tired as hell of this fuckery (oops. yes, it's lent, and yes, i have been trying to keep the naughties to a minimum, but there it is and there it stays). Rolling over is not an option. To stop now is what they are counting on. I have heard many of the dems say that Americans will forgive them at the polls in November because the memory of Sunday's vote will be a distant memory. Time leads to forgiveness, right?

That is what they think of you. They are the bad boyfriend that beats the holy shit out of you and then, in the aftermath, brings you flowers and begs, pleads, and sheds deceitful tears for your forgiveness. I LOVE YOU! CAN'T YOU SEE HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU?! They count on your forgiving heart, on your hope that they've changed, on your weariness of fighting with them. They count on you believing them and forgiving them when they choose to hide their ugly side that continually abuses you, that gains strength from belittling and overpowering you. The manipulation of your heart, of your goodness, is their strength. The vicious beatings that follow are with intent. They no regret or remorse. They get off on your pain. And as always, they blame you. YOU MAKE ME BEAT YOU! If you weren't so greedy, stupid, or just plain breathing, they wouldn't have to knock your teeth out or blacken your eyes or kick you in the stomach when pregnant.

The question is: What are you going to do about it?

We have all watched in horror and shock the Oprah and Jerry Springer episodes of physically and emotionally abused women who stay with their man. (he loves me....) The crowds become incensed with him and INSIST we protect her. WHY DOESN'T SHE LEAVE?! (he loves me....he told me so himself) As we watch, we tell ourselves that we are too smart for that to happen to us, that we are too educated for that to happen to us, that we are too strong for that to happen to us. (he's sorry. he cried. he said he's changed....) Really? Seems to me we find ourselves in the exact position of those weak women who don't have the sense to fight back for their dignity, for their safety, for their freedom from tyranny.

My friends, Obama is getting the change he hoped for. He will continue to be our bad boyfriend as long as we allow him our power.

In the last few days, everywhere I turn I am hearing and reading others use of Ronald Reagan quotes to spur us on, to strengthen our hearts, to fill us with hope, so I'll do the same, but with one that is a bit more obscure, yet fits nicely with this entry.

"Do not be afraid to see what you see." Ronald Reagan

May God bless us on our journey.

I wear a size 9 1/2

Passed 219-214

I am an optimist by nature, an American by birth and a Texan by the grace of God. This is not the time to lay down because we are tired of the fight; this is the time to stand and continue the fight because we are tired.

We are Americans. We will prevail.

Now, pull your boots on, we have some ass to kick.

Drawing a Line in the Sand

For my Christian brethren who believe Obamacare is in line with social justice, this well-written article by Kyle-Anne Shriver says it better than I (cause let's face it, I use Cussy McCusser language when highly agitated which offends tender ears):

While President Obama has made wide use of his claim to fighting for Social Justice, especially with his zeal towards a government takeover of our healthcare system, he has utterly ignored the natural – fully predictable – unintended consequences of his attempt to reorder the best medical delivery system the world has ever created.

In fact, this reordering of the American medical delivery system to suit the whims of socialist reformers, President Obama is ensuring a genuine Social Justice nightmare for the whole world.

Yes, I know you may think me a zealot. Keep reading, please.

But the United States is not a selfish Nation. And every one of these medical “miracles,” the products of free enterprise, under the supervision of government oversight, makes its way quite quickly to the rest of the world. Socialist countries, unable to produce the cures themselves because they have choked innovation with their own “centralized planner” philosophies, then buy the new American drugs at highly discounted prices for their own citizens. In effect, the American medical system quite heavily subsidizes all the other medical systems of the world with its own ingenuity and enterprise. Our doctors routinely travel around the globe, sharing and teaching their techniques to other doctors in other countries. Our charities routinely offer free medical aid around the globe.

Can't deny that, right?

Then, of course, there is the abortion component of Obamacare. As prohibitions against taxpayer funds being funneled to abortion coverage are not included in the Senate bill, every American taxpayer will now be conscripted into the Democrats’ genocidal denial of Social Justice to pre-born Americans – with no provision for conscientious objector status. This one thing – this fundamental, primordial facet of Social Justice – is more than enough reason to reject Obamacare on its whole. As the Pope and all others before him have repeatedly proclaimed, the right to life, once conceived, is the fundamental right upon which all others rest. No one – not even a president – can claim to be fighting for Social Justice without first protecting this unalienable right.

Pushing this bill upon the American people, forcing them to comply, is evil. That's right. EVIL.

Supporting Obamacare, and the piece-by-piece destruction of the finest medical system ever created, is an affront to the doctrine of Social Justice. It will prove a nightmare, not only for Americans, but for the whole world.

To all who think this bill is better than no bill: While I love you, you are gravely mistaken.

Unraveling? EDIT 3

Chaos!

Rules Committee Descends into chaos.

Stay on your knees peeps.

EDIT 1: DEEM AND PASS has been axed. They are going to vote on this bill. Does this mean it's a done deal and they have the votes? Possibly. Does it mean hardened hearts can't be swayed? Absolutely not.

From our lips to God's ear...

EDIT 2: Just as we suspected...

EDIT 3: Legal Baby Killing 101

It is beyond ironic that a Mormon, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and a Catholic, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, are in charge of passing ObamaCare. If passed, the legislation will federally fund elective abortions in every state.

Doesn't matter if you'd rather spend your money to feed babies, they like the idea of nipping that nuisance in the bud.

Time to Piss You Off

I'm always telling you how pissed off I am, aren't I? Blahblahblah, our leadership sux. Blahblahblah, our freedoms are at stake. Blahblahblah, giving Washington the bird. Why should I have all the fun, huh? Today, in the spirit of inclusion, I want to piss you off as well.

Behold, Democrat Congressman, Tom Perriello Spilling the Beans About His Day Job:

That's right, they don't even care anymore if you know their true intent. Taking you for all they can used to be an open secret, something you knew and they giggled about behind closed doors. Now, he's basically double-dog darin' you to try and stop him.

I could stop this post here and you'd be pissed enough, but I want you Patti-pissed. Our pissed tank isn't even close to full. (i smells a drinking game with the word pissed for this post!)

Enter Joe Biden and his loose lips o'truth:

"You know we're going to control the insurance companies."

Washington has demonized the insurance companies since this start of this healthcare fiasco, and now they are plainly telling you that they will control those companies. Washington, the government that hasn't run ONE organization without bleeding-out your cash, or becoming ears-high in corruption, or ~name your peeve here~ . They think they can do this better than the free market. They think they have the experience to take it over and show us how it's done.

Deluded much?

Even though Joe assures you with a smile and his goofy shtick, the intent is to forcibly take your freedom of choice even as you vehemently object. That is called theft.

Pissed O'Meter rising?

Stay with me now. Yesterday, the bill was posted so everyone who has Internets access (thanky al gore!) could root through it and know what Barry knows. Which exactly nothing.

This exchange took place during the pounding Fox interview with Bret Baier:

Mr. Baier again: So you'll go deem-and-pass and you don't know exactly what will be in the bill?

Mr. Obama's response: "By the time the vote has taken place, not only will I know what's in it, you'll know what's in it, because it's going to be posted and everybody's going to be able to evaluate it on the merits."

That's news in two ways. That it will be posted—one assumes the president means on the Internet and not nailed to a telephone pole—should suggest it will be posted for a while, more than a few hours or days. So American will finally get a look at it. And the president was conceding that no, he doesn't know what's in the bill right now. It is still amazing that one year into the debate this could be true.

If that doesn't tic your pissed o'meter up, then how about this response Barry gave when asked if he supported "deem and pass" (new coinage: "demon pass"):

The president said, "The vote that's taken in the House will be a vote for health-care reform." We shouldn't, he added, concern ourselves with "the procedural issues."

He's talking to you. Well, not talking to you as much as telling you to mind your own beeswax and let Washington handle things that you know nothing about, missy. All that's left out of this picture is you in an apron, getting him a drink and hushing the children so Daddy can relax after a hard day's work.

Who's your daddy?! Barry is, and you'd be wise not to forget it, sweetheart.

Heart rate elevated? Good. Focus now, the meter is about to peg.

Healthcare. This all-consuming push by Washington has been for you, right? They keep telling us that it's the best they can do for us, that we are in trouble with rising costs and so many aren't getting the coverage they need...THIS IS FOR YOU!

Really? Don't believe it.

President Barack Obama had exhausted most of his health care reform arguments with members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus during a White House meeting last Thursday when he made a more personal pitch that resonated with many skeptics in the room.

One caucus member told POLITICO that Obama won him over by “essentially [saying] that the fate of his presidency” hinged on this week’s health reform vote in the House. The member, who requested anonymity, likened Obama’s remarks to an earlier meeting with progressives when the president said a victory was necessary to keep him “strong” for the next three years of his term.

There's more...

Still, the idea of Obama in peril seemed to play a part in the no-to-yes flip by Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), who told reporters Wednesday that his decision was influenced by four conversations with Obama and “a real sense of compassion” for the tough time the president is having pushing the bill through.

4 Bambo Shoots and 1 LOL of the Day

There is much pushing my buttons this morning, and one LOL. Let's examine the bamboo shoots under my fingernails first.

~~ Pelosi Tactic For Healthcare Vote Would Raise Legal Questions

Pelosi said this week that the so-called pass-and-deem approach was one of several options Democrats are considering to win passage of the measure, potentially the biggest health-care change in four decades. Americans would be required to get insurance, and insurers would have to accept all customers.

The House would have to approve the $875 billion bill passed by the Senate and clear a set of changes to that measure through a budget process called reconciliation. The pass-and- deem technique would consolidate those two steps, forcing lawmakers to take a stance only on the changes.

The changes are needed because House Democrats object to parts of the Senate bill.

“There are a lot of people who don’t want to vote for it,” Pelosi said this week. “We will do what is necessary to pass a health-care bill.”

There is the reason for Washington's scramble in a concise nutshell. Congress finds itself in a pickle and many know their jobs are on the line if they vote yes on this bill, but what they fail to recognize/believe/embrace is that if they vote yes on this procedure, we still are coming for their jobs.

Note To Washington: We are on to you. We see right past your poorly practiced parlor tricks to your badly disguised cover-up. Regardless of what you want us to believe, we know the truth. WE. ARE. ON. TO. YOU. If you were smart, you'd listen.

~~ Barry Talks His Special Brand of Gibberish, Shining a Light On His Deceit

What you say, Willis?!

~~ Stupak Is Gaming The System

“I can’t block it. Bart Stupak and his ‘dirty dozen,’ however you want to call it, we can’t block it. There’s 39 other people who didn’t vote for it,” said Stupak.

Stupak claims while Democratic leaders have peeled off a few of his group, he always had more than 12 and he stresses he still has 12 now.

The ideal outcome, Stupak said, might be for the House Democratic leadership to get the votes they need without him and for the bill to pass.

“You know, maybe for me that’s the best: I stay true to my principles and beliefs,” he said, and “vote no on this bill and then it passes anyways. Maybe for me is the best thing to do.”

Yes, let someone else do the dirty work to insure your job is safe. Stupak, your logic is flawed. Knowing that the House will get the votes, helping them to get the votes by laying down your sword instead of fighting to the end for what you believe, is the same as voting for it. So don't try and pull the "solid principles and beliefs" card with us. Maybe you should reread the NOTE TO WASHINGTON above.

~~ CBO Report In This Morning, Setting Up A Possible Vote Sunday

House Democrats are on track for a Sunday vote on sweeping health care legislation that will expand coverage to millions of uninsured while also reducing the federal deficit, leaders said Thursday.

I cannot express this enough: THE TIME IS NOW TO CALL.

~~ Made Me LOL of the Day with Biden

Vice President Joe Biden asked for God's blessing for the late mother of Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen during a White House celebration of St. Patrick's Day — except the elderly lady is very much alive.

"God rest her soul," Biden said Wednesday night as he introduced Cowen and President Barack Obama. He quickly caught himself and noted that it's Cowen's father who is no longer living. Of the prime minister's mother, Biden said, "God bless her soul."

Biden then cited the Irish proverb that "a silent mouth is sweet to hear" and yielded the podium to the president.

He's killing off the elderly ahead of the vote! VISIONARY!

We are in precarious times (does anyone else find it interesting that this is occurring during the holy season of Lent?) that calls for swift and decisive action on our part. Please offer your sacrifice, whether it be prayer, fasting, calling Washington, mass emailing the above numbers to call, or even standing on your roof with a bullhorn.

God Speed, everyone.

Let's Do It Again!

WOW! I asked you guys to call and email your Congressmen yesterday, but I never expected that you would get so fired-up by my entry that this notification would have to be sent out at the House:

“Our phone system is nearing capacity,” said Jeff Ventura, spokesman for the CAO. “It got critical enough whereby we notified all systems’ administrators throughout the House that the phone systems are overloading.”

BRAVO, mah peeps!

What? What is that you say?! Rush Limbaugh also asked his audience to melt the phone lines yesterday and some are reporting that's the reason for the deluge of calls?! Well, here's a little known secret (please don't pass this around as it is, well, a secret): Rush reads my blog. I post in the morning before his show and he grabs talking points and then passes them on to his peeps. So if you want to think this had everything to do with Rush and his call to action, and nothing to do with me, I'm big enough to keep that shiny bright spotlight on him. It's all good.

So what should we do as an encore? More of the same, my amazing, bring-the-hammer-down, Patriots.

Here is The Code Red Target List. Click on the link, then click on the representative's name to get their contact info and dial away!

If you are still groggy/cranky from the time shift and can't bring yourself to click for a specific number, I'm here to help. You may use the following numbers to call Congress directly (you may get a busy signal, but that's kinda the point. Keep dialing!): 877-762-8762 OR 202-224-3121

No other news is as important as this task before us. Our very life and liberty is on the line.

Capes On! Let's make this a St. Patrick's Day Washington will never forget. Get crackin' mah babies! (and listen, don't be hatin' on Rush if he asks you to do the same on his show later today. we're on the same team. He's got to get his big stack of stuff from somewhere. may as well be here!)

Ready! Aim! DIAL!!!

God Help Us - Edit 1

As the news of Barry and Crew steamrolling the American people reaches critical mass this week, I steel myself to keep looking, to keep reading, to keep myself and you informed of the growing danger to the Republic. It's sickens me to know that each new day brings its own recipe for disaster for our beloved country. It sickens me to know that we must be hyper-vigilant in order to retain the freedoms so violently won. It sickens me that those who were elected to protect us are the very ones scheming to harm us.

God help us.

Consider that the rules for voting on the healthcare bill are changing AGAIN on the whim of Pelosi:

A newly emerging Democratic plan to vote on health care reform without really voting on health care reform has critics riled up, accusing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her allies of resorting to legislative trickery to send a bill to President Obama's desk.

Here's the plan:

Enter the Pelosi tactic, known as a "self-executing rule."

Under this tactic, the House could simultaneously approve the Senate version of the bill while voting on the package of changes. This would "deem" the Senate bill passed, though not directly show members voting in favor of passage.

It may sound murky, but the option is winning favor among Democrats.

Pelosi reportedly told liberal bloggers Monday that "nobody wants to vote for the Senate bill," and so she's strongly considering the non-vote vote.

"I like it, because people don't have to vote on the Senate bill," she said.

Republicans are dubious.

"That's not exactly a ringing endorsement for a plan that will remake one-sixth of the American economy," Boehner's office said.

If Washington thinks they have seen the wrath of We, The People in town hall meetings, they will be stunned to see what our reaction will be should they move forward with this insanity.

Now is the time people. Time to bring down the hammer. Call your Rep. Call your Congressman. Call those not in your district and let them know if they vote for this thing, NAY supporting the Pelosi thievery ruling, that you will contribute in any way possible to get them voted out of office.

Sean Hannity has a page that shows where your Congressman stands. They are updating regularly. Go to THIS LINK (health care vote count) then click on the links given.

We are standing at the precipice of our country's freedoms and Washington is about to steal your wallet and boot your ass over the edge. This is not hyperbole. This is fact.

Why the hell are we just standing there?

EDIT 1: If the above didn't sicken you enough, there's more. Pelosi ain't just standing there, she's "kicking through the door."

If you have any doubt that the Democratic leadership of the House views passing the current health care reform bill as the beginning, not the end, of the process of creating a national government health care system, just note what Speaker Nancy Pelosi told a group of bloggers on Monday. "My biggest fight has been between those who wanted to do something incremental and those who wanted to do something comprehensive," Pelosi said, according to an account by Washington Post reform advocate Ezra Klein. "We won that fight, and once we kick through this door, there'll be more legislation to follow."

Seriously

Seriously, aren't we far enough along as a nation to stop screwing with time changes? AREN'T WE?! Does our society, our 24/7 way of modern life, benefit from this nonsense anymore? And am I seriously the only person you know who has actually called their Congressman to complain about Daylight Savings Time? ( i don't play) I don't care which time we stay with, let's just pick on and let it be. Seriously.

Also, am I the only person tired of political commentary about how the Tea Party is surprisingly shaping politics?! How could it be that people across this great nation, angry, fed-up, serious people, are raising their voices and getting results? HOW COULD IT BE?!

But their concern -- the fact that government spending is on a trajectory to increase far beyond revenues -- seems likely to persist. In which case a spontaneous movement that no one predicted and that no one person led could end up, again, reshaping one of our great political parties.

"Seems likely to persist" gave me a LOL. Just catching on, are we?

Here's but one example of why folks are persistently up in arms with Washington, and maybe, just maybe, this tiny little piece of the puzzling puzzle as to why the rage continues on and *egads* mounts, will serve as a definitive moment for those who say things like "seems likely to persist" when speaking of American's anger/disbelief at Washington's arrogance/ stand against destruction. Helmets on mah babies (emphasis mine).

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has scheduled a vote next week (this week) on a House rule to get ObamaCare passed without one Representative having to vote on the bill. This may be unconstitutional. I have to be careful not to say that “Pelosi will schedule a vote on ObamaCare,” because the plan right now is to pass the Senate version of ObamaCare without a vote in the House. The procedure is purposefully confusing because liberals in Congress hope the American people don’t figure out this procedural fraud until it is too late. So much for the Constitution that says that a bill does not become a law until the House and Senate pass identical bills, and then the President signs that legislation.

Seriously, f*d up, eh?!

Time for a refresher film. Someone get the lights!

Well, it used to work that way.

Lastly, in another glaring example of how the MSM focuses on the wrong angle in their "reporting" we have this:

Hillary Rodham Clinton's State Department is spending $5.4 million to buy fine crystal stemware for American embassies -- but it won't give the US economy much of a boost.

The contract was given to a tiny Washington, DC, interior designer, which in turn subcontracted the crystal work to a Swedish firm -- snubbing such US companies as the famous manufacturer in Clinton's own back yard, Steuben Crystal of upstate Corning.

The firm didn't even get a chance to bid on the contract, which will outfit embassies and ambassadors' residences with fancy crystal for ritzy functions.

Seriously? You're going with the slant that a US company didn't get the subcontracted bid instead of the fact that $5.4 million dollars is being spent on STEMWARE while this country is in the midst of a historic economic downturn?! Glad to see that Washington gets it, that they are finally tightening their belt alongside ordinary citizens.

I shouldn't be surprised. So many of the extremist 60's activists, the 60's radical druggies, the 60's free-loving hippies, are now at the helm of our beloved country. That generation tore the lid off of boundaries and taking what they wanted when they wanted it. We should have seen it coming in this new brightly lit day.

Which brings me back to Daylight Savings Time. (it's the only thing washington saves) One good thing about the time change is that Barry and Crew couldn't have picked a better week to bring healthcare to a head. The stupid time shift is depriving us of a good night's sleep, our bodies are still adjusting and the nation is filled with cranky groggy peeps. Everyone knows you don't go around poking groggy cranky peeps, because if you do there will be hell to pay. Well, everyone but Washington knows this. They live in Bizarro World where everything is backwards.

I don't know about you, but I'm keeping my helmet on all week. Things are about to get ugly(ier).

Seriously.

Friday, March 12, 2010

They honestly can't be that dumb...can they?!

The left wants you to believe that there are no other options for healthcare being offered, that it's their way or the highway, well this could be a start: How Republicans Can Stop The Health Care Bill In 3 Steps

The Dems, and the hard left, want you to believe what it is they tell you in order to gain more power from you, by stripping you of your freedom of choice, in the process. To illustrate my point, all I had to do was root around the Internets (thanky al gore!) for under two minutes to find this dribble:

Health reform is back from the dead. Many Democrats have realized that their electoral prospects will be better if they can point to a real accomplishment. Polling on reform — which was never as negative as portrayed — shows signs of improving. And I’ve been really impressed by the passion and energy of this guy Barack Obama. Where was he last year?

Paul, my brother, what planet are you living on? This is as far from reality as you can get. A real accomplishment?! That's what you want us to believe passing this healthcare bill would amount to for the Dems? And you're really impressed with Barry? I believe you. You and the loyal left are really impressed, not so much the rest of Americans. Dude, check the polling, I'll even throw Gallup into the mix cause I know how you libbies love Gallup (by the by, Gallup is showing the same exact thing that the left-hated/mocked/spit upon Rasmussen has been heralding FOR MONTHS now). Barry is sucking air like a goldfish on the floor.

To pile-drive home to you that Paul is deluded, he has faith in the CBO numbers.

And it gets better as we go further into the future: the Congressional Budget Office has just concluded, in a new report, that the arithmetic of reform will look better in its second decade than it did in its first.

If that's not laughable enough, he goes on to say this (emphasis mine):

Furthermore, there’s good reason to believe that all such estimates are too pessimistic. There are many cost-saving efforts in the proposed reform, but nobody knows how well any one of these efforts will work. And as a result, official estimates don’t give the plan much credit for any of them. What the actuary and the budget office do is a bit like looking at an oil company’s prospecting efforts, concluding that any individual test hole it drills will probably come up dry, and predicting as a consequence that the company won’t find any oil at all — when the odds are, in fact, that some of the test holes will pan out, and produce big payoffs. Realistically, health reform is likely to do much better at controlling costs than any of the official projections suggest.

Does anyone believe that the government is gonna hit the numbers the CBO offers, or come in under? Does any government office or entity spend money with you in mind, are they thrifty and watch all "their" nickles and dimes, or do they spend it as fast as they take it from you?! Right?!

Stop laughing and snorting, mah peeps, that's just rude. Funny, but rude.

This next article hits the thug between the eyes:

Nothing has been more disconcerting than to watch Democratic politicians and their media supporters deceive themselves into believing that the public favors the Democrats' current health-care plan. Yes, most Americans believe, as we do, that real health-care reform is needed. And yes, certain proposals in the plan are supported by the public.

Yes, the public HATES this plan. But does that mean we are against health care? Absolutely not. I have said it before, as an ordinary citizen who has experienced hospital stays and the insurance mess that follows, something MUST be done. BUT NOT THE CURRENT PLAN. Can't get any plainer than that. Hello??? Is this thing on??!!

Is the public on to the MSM and their fierce loyalty to this administration, even to the point of deceptively shilling a product that is detrimental to the country? Yes. Is the public buying the snake-oil/song and dance/highly stylized images in response to such a push by the MSM? Not for a minute. The MSM is on its last leg unless they straighten out their house. The new media is where it's at. This administration and the MSM dismiss the new media, mock the new media, and will fall by the new media. The public is smart and Internets (thanky al gore!) savvy. We don't need anyone telling us what to believe. We'll go get the facts ourselves, then form our own conclusions. Oh man, they hate when we do that.

For Democrats to begin turning around their political fortunes there has to be a frank acknowledgement that the comprehensive health-care initiative is a failure, regardless of whether it passes. There are enough Republican and Democratic proposals -- such as purchasing insurance across state lines, malpractice reform, incrementally increasing coverage, initiatives to hold down costs, covering preexisting conditions and ensuring portability -- that can win bipartisan support. It is not a question of starting over but of taking the best of both parties and presenting that as representative of what we need to do to achieve meaningful reform. Such a proposal could even become a template for the central agenda items for the American people: jobs and economic development.

Unless the Democrats fundamentally change their approach, they will produce not just a march of folly but also run the risk of unmitigated disaster in November.

Libbies, Dems, RINOs, take note and you may survive the Plague of Pissed Off Voters come November:

1) This legislation IS A FAILURE. If the word FAILURE doesn't compute for you, I'll say it in terms you love and claim to support: ABORT!! ABORT!! ABORT!! (in this case aborting is not only called for, but will save our country's life)

2) Just as this article states, there are many ways to approach real reform that WILL HAVE bipartisan support. Hell, just on the new media blogs, from every day folks who want to help and have put real thought into the issue (Commentarama pops into mind), there are amazing ideas of workable ways, common sense ways, money-saving ways, to fix what ails us. Which brings me back to the point of so many Americans, regardless of party affiliation, wanting real reform. We do, we want reform, but this ain't it. Give Americans a challenge, FIND REAL REFORM!, and we won't won't fail us. Yeah, we ARE that good.

3) You folks in Congress who believe (like paul above) that passing this bill means you can point to real accomplishment, who believe that doing nothing is worse than doing the wrong thing, who believe that you can fool us with your MSM deceit, your greed, and your shocking incompetence, who believe that Barry has the right to intimidate and threaten you to get this job done, you folks are deluded. And if you listen closely, hell if you listen AT ALL, you can hear Americans across the land not only telling you how much they are AGAINST this plan, but how they intend to take your jobs, your power, if you pass it. We can't be any plainer.

The ball is in your court. Let's see if you remember how to use it.

D'UH of the Day

D'UH of the Day: Is Obama Losing His Base?

Liberal and progressive organizations that helped propel him to the White House are turning on him now, little more than a year after he took office. Their collective discontent, on issues from health care to nuclear energy to the handling of terrorism suspects, could mean bad news for Democrats during this fall's congressional elections.

Polls show that liberals and blacks still approve of the job Obama's doing. That approval, however, doesn't necessarily mean they will make the effort to vote, and many of the activists and groups that worked to get people to the polls in 2008 say they're not inclined right now to help Democrats in the fall.

Show of hands, who is shocked? No one?! Exactly. One can simply open their front door and meet a neighbor at the mailbox to hear of Barry discontent. It really is that simple.

Think of it for a minute. The amazing base that Barry connected with, who swarmed the polls and brought us our first black president, this same unstoppable base is almost as ticked off as the right. Almost. The polls show it. The overheard conversations tell it. The outright anger of Barry promising libbies the moon, yet purposely brushing aside their cries and changing the rules to suit the moment, has opened many eyes of his base.

Momma lurvs it. I lurv it in a Welcome Home! sort of way. Finally, Barry's base sees what we saw all those campaigning months ago. The truth stick is beating them senseless. Their pick sucks. Man, that realization has to hurt.

Comments like this don't help Barry (emphasis mine):

"I would have loved nothing better than to simply come up with some very elegant, academically approved approach to health care, and didn't have any kinds of legislative fingerprints on it, and just go ahead and have that passed. But that's not how it works in our democracy. Unfortunately, what we end up having to do is to do a lot of negotiations with a lot of different people."

This is a clear shot of the world in which he lives. The President of the United Sates of America is telling you that your voice is mucking things up, mucking his things up. If we would just let him get on with his elegant academically approved approach, sauteed in racist Rev. Wrightisms and bombastic Bill Ayer's style of home-grown terrorism, all would be well...in his world.

Hey bub, here's a head's up for ya. Unfortunately for you, that's not how it works. See?! We agree! Fortunately for us, that's how it works for the country. Aw, and then we had to go and do that.

Is it any wonder Barry is losing his base? He showed up like an unknown god on the political stage and started a wildfire with his ideology. Our youth became engaged. A shift occurred in the land for hope and change that seemed unstoppable. Yet, if those who hastily joined the bandwagon had looked past the mirage of an image, had looked to Barry's life up until that moment, had stopped to THINK, he would have never been elected.

He fooled many good and trusting people into believing his limited image. He fooled many good and trusting people into believing he was The One, possibly the only one who could bring them their hope and change. He fooled many good and trusting people with his considerable charm and outright deceit.

But as Abe Lincoln once said: You may fool all of the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all of the time; but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Bar, in your purported love for all things Abe, me thinks you overlooked the wisdom in these sage words.

While the MSM brays daily about your "endgame" for healthcare being at hand, I like to think of this moment in history as being the endgame for your administration. Yes, you have three more years, but your base is on to you. Did you catch that?! YOUR BASE IS ON TO YOU. Not only that, the country as a whole is on to you. Hell, the entire freakin' world is on to you.

You can't fool
all of the people all of the time.

Abe was a wise man. Bar, you would be wise to take note, but judging from your past actions I think it's safe to say you'll dig in your heels and keep pushing your elegant academically approved approach while hoping the rest of us shut-it.

Turns out, your base doesn't like it any more than we do.
