Biggest story of yesterday afternoon: Senate deals blow to 'Don't ask, don't tell' repeal in 56-43 vote

Makes me happy and pisses me off all at the same time. There should be a law that states each bill should be about the same types of related things, ie a defense bill should be about F*CKING DEFENSE, and not include a backdoor amnesty provision for ILLEGALS.

I was attacked yesterday for having this view, for supporting Republicans right to vote against it, and here's what I have to say to the "left-leaning Independents" of this world: If amnesty is such a great idea, if you think that Americans would support such a law, then get your representatives to bring a specific singular bill for amnesty to a vote. Go all in. Don't try to dog hardworking Americans by backdooring a plan attached to a defense bill, for crying out loud. If you believe in something, then take a true stand. BRING THAT BILL. But baby, don't cry when we bring it down in flames. And that's the REAL reason the Dems tried to sneak it in to begin with; Americans are fed up and every bleeding heart libbie knows an amnesty bill on it's own would never stand.

Yes, Dem Wankers, we know you need the votes desperately, but how many more times do we need to say this? The majority of Americans DO NOT support this kind of lowdown dirty amnesty, which is the equivalent to line jumping. Line jumpers get called out in any line I happen to be standing in. No mercy for cheaters, is my policy. It holds as true in the large things as it does in the small. BACK OF THE LINE, ILLEGAL CHEATER!

(funny story: once, while in line at starbucks, one of the local female newscasters came prancing in and she went to the front of the line, as the barristas knew her. not one person in line was having it. she ended up stomping out in her heels, much to the glee of all. what made it sweeter was she had been on oprah, because of her very public battle with cancer, showing off her bald head - god bless her -, and word on the street was she was never as nice after that 15 minutes of fame. maybe she thought she was someone through association* and had the right to break the rules. problem for her was, none of us felt the same way. BACK OF THE LINE CHEATER NEWSCASTER!)

After the vote, Dems came out guns blazing, accusing Republicans of blocking it for partisan reasons. We must hate the Dems so much that we'll stop at nothing to rub their noses in it. Really? Had nothing to do with Dems slipping in amnesty for a DEFENSE BILL? See? This is where the MSM and the Dems just stinkin' fall apart. For years they could get away with saying totally fabricated untruths and most folks would bite. Today, in the land of the Internets (thanky al gore!), most of us are getting our news from reliable sources, meaning NOT the MSM. So while they are still using the "make up the news and then tell the folks what to believe" model, most of us are using the "go find the real news" model.

While it FAILs to surprise me anymore, it still pisses me off because I think there is a sweet granny or peepaw out there, buying the MSM swill because they still trust what used to be a trustworthy business.

Anyone out there still think the MSM is not as bad as so many of us bloggers flog it as? Fine delusionalists, then how 'bout this as exhibit A:

That's right, not a single mention of party affiliation from what used to be a highly respected media, but is now the laughing stock of middle-America. They still think we aren't on to them. How do you think the story would have played had it been eight Republicans?

* Someone through association: Barry's aunt, who for years was an ILLEGAL before being granted asylum (because that 's what happens to lucky ILLEGAL line jumpers whose nephew happens to be president) wants you to know that if folks get to US soil, that we have the OBLIGATION to make them citizens.
