Monday Madness

Wanna read something that will put a smile on your face and break your heart at the same time?

(Who says yes to that kinda question?!)

Mothers of Soldiers Attend Reception at Bush Home

Bush's tender heart for our military men and women was a constant during his presidency. While the country's chaos swirls around us, some things never change.

Remember this moment: GOP Slams Push-Back of Tax Vote

The Dems are running scared but their logic defies me.  It is a well-known fact that Republicans and AMERICANS (all parties) want to extend the Bush era tax cuts (enacted 2001 and 2003).  We have had enough beatings to our bottom-line in this last declining year; we don't need another.  The Dems have the opportunity to vote to extend these soon-to-expire cuts before the mid-term elections, but refuse.  Many Dems are even on record as "saying" they want these cuts to continue, but.......

They will NOT vote on the issue until AFTER the November 2nd elections.  They fear for their jobs.  I believe their reasoning is this: if they wait, many of their constituents will be angry, but angry enough to vote libbie incumbents out?  Nahhhhhh.  That's the roll of the dice they are taking.  They think their delay-tactic will favor them.  Then after the election, they will continue to "support" the cuts, bring it to a vote, which will presumably fail, and then they'll tag the Republicans as the cause, and finally using that failed vote as fuel for the upcoming presidental race.

Brain-damaged much?!

Washington is again using your money for their hoped-for gain, not caring about your needs or concerns, and they think you are the ones not paying attention.

Come on November.

Patti, They want to vote against the tax cuts and they think that waiting until after the election will reduce the pressure on them and let them get away with that. In the meantime, they'll all promise to vote for it. . .before voting against it.

Liars.
