Folks are pissed and Dems seem confused by it all. After all, they did what you wanted, what you begged for, what you thought was urgently needed, they passed the healthcare legislation!
Dems are home and coming face to fist with constituent's who are NOT pleased.
Here's one of my favorite reported incidents that Rep. Paul Hodes experienced. The bold is the exchange in a concise nutshell:
At a senior center in Manchester Wednesday, one woman turned away when Hodes offered his outstretched hand for an introduction.
When Hodes decided to stay at the table and launch a defense of what's considered to be one of the more popular provisions of the law — closing the "donut hole," a gap in prescription drug coverage for Medicare recipients — she challenged whether he had read the entire bill and dismissed his explanation.
Here's an exact quote from Barry, about your outrage:
"Well, I think that when you listen to Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck, it's pretty apparent, and it's troublesome, but keep in mind that there have been periods in American history where this kind of vitriol comes out," Obama said. "It happens often when you've got an economy that is making people more anxious and people are feeling like there is a lot of change that needs to take place. But that's not the vast majority of Americans. I think the vast majority of Americans know that we're trying hard, that I want what's best for the country."
Barrack is not delusional. Hussein is not suffering from a reality-altering brain tumor. Obama is not misunderstood. Barrack Hussein Obama knows exactly what he is doing. He chooses his words to convey what he wants the truth to be, what he wants you to believe the truth to be. To Barry, black is white, up is down; he deals in his own personal bizarro world. He is hoping like hell we buy it.
Yeah, not so much. The vast majority of Americans call it lying, but that doesn't stop him from tryin'.
Rush had this to say in response and he hit Barry right between the eyes with the truth:
"I know that a majority of Americans are angry at the regime's (and the Democrats') constant attempts at character assassination of their opposition. They want no part of engaging us in the Arena of Ideas. They seek instead to discredit and marginalize us, and it has gotten old."
Here Bar lets you know that YOU are the problem, not so much Washington:
"We are over-taxed as it is," Doris said bluntly.
Obama started out feisty. "Well, let's talk about that, because this is an area where there's been just a whole lot of misinformation, and I'm going to have to work hard over the next several months to clean up a lot of the misapprehensions that people have," the president said.
Gosh, you people, GET IT RIGHT. Do you see how difficult and thankless his job is?! Do you see how hard he has to work? Dealing with the informed is a holy hell. Sheesh.
Because Barry wants you to shut it, SHUT IT!, he needs help from his twisted sidekick minions, the MSM, to get the word out.
The president said both Democrats and Republicans have a responsibility to tone down the rhetoric, but that much of it has to do with the current media environment in which extreme comments are echoed in the blogosphere.
Ruh-roh...blogosphere. Wait, does that mean me?! And you?!
Memo from the Desk of The One: SHUT IT!
~sigh~ It's just all so tiresome.
Here's a crazy idea Bar, we will shut it once we feel that Washington isn't trying to beat us bloody anymore. You take care of the ailment and the symptom will disappear. How about that? Until then, you can pretty much count on our outrage to spill all over the joint making one big sticky mess.
Clean up on aisle America!
