The clip gave me a LOL until I read this story over at Big Government. Just like the left to leave stuff out as they try to get you to believe that all they want to do is get along. YOU LIE!

My second LOL of the Day came from the headline of the piece: Media Fraud: Just A Cup Of Coffee My Ass. It's nice to know the big boys over at BG are just like me in using the term "my ass" in their headlines. I thought it was mostly the domain of pissed off southern gals. If I'm livin', I'm learnin'!



FAIL of the Day: Kansas City Wants To Close Half Its Public Schools

Schools officials say the cuts are necessary to keep the district from plowing through what little is left of the $2 billion it received as part of a groundbreaking desegregation case.

Buffeted for years by declining enrollment, political squabbling and a revolving door of leadership, the district's fortunes are so bleak that Superintendent John Covington has said diplomas given to many graduates "aren't worth the paper they're printed on."

$2 BILLION is gone?! Oh greed, thou art great.

Parents are livid, students are confused and upset, and Kansas City plowed through $2 BILLION without a thought for the future. Got it in your pocket now?! SPEND IT! Sound familiar? The article entails the spending spree the district went on while student achievement remained low. The district must have felt smugly satisfied with their "mock court complete with judge's chambers and jury deliberation room" even as the students tangible educational gains lagged. But, look at what we can offer them! A 6-lane running track! A court! A recording studio (yes, a recording studio)! An Olympic-sized pool!

Reading, writing and arithmetic, not so much.

Eating Their Own of the Day: Eric Massa: Democrats Ousted Me Over Health Care

Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) says the House ethics committee is investigating him for inappropriate comments he made to a male staffer on New Year's Eve — and that he's the victim of a power play by Democratic leaders who want him out of Congress because he's a "no" vote on health care reform.

"Mine is now the deciding vote on the health care bill," Massa, who on Friday announced his intention to resign, said during a long monologue on radio station WKPQ. "And this administration and this House leadership have said, quote-unquote, they will stop at nothing to pass this health care bill. And now they've gotten rid of me and it will pass. You connect the dots."

This is looking to be the story of the day. How low will Dem leadership go to pass healthcare? Will they "stop at nothing" to ram it through or is Eric lashing out at the investigative probe of him telling a male staffer he should be "frakking you" at another staffer's wedding. (frak = slang for the f-word)

Frakking. Doesn't seem true to form. Wouldn't most guys say the other word? I know that's not the point, but that little detail made me wonder what else the left might have sanitized in this story.

My bet is this thing is gonna 'splode. Other details are coming. Eric is mad as hell and he isn't going to take it any more. He is a man, gosh darn it! A man who recounts how he "tousled" another man's hair. A man who was accosted in the shower, naked as a jaybird, by Rahm. A man who uses the word "frakking" to convey inappropriateness to a staffer. A man who is making it very hard for me to take him seriously as I try to repress the giggles from ALL THAT IMAGERY.

Washington has entered a new level of ick. If we're lucky it will work for the good of the people by exposing (hehe) what is really happening behind the scenes and derailing Barry's hope of passing this abomination of a bill.

Hang on, peeps. Today is gonna be interesting.
