You know how I yammer on and on about net neutrality being the sharp embedded chicken bone caught in the best-left-open throat of a free windpipe, and how all Americans, but especially the younger folks out there (teens - 30's) who made the Internets (thanky al gore!) what it is today, should be enraged about what Barry and Crew want to do to their virtual open road?! Well, I finally found an article that simplifies things for techno-newbs AND it is accompanied by a video! Oh, I know how you loves a video!!!
As Capitol Confidential noted the other day, net neutrality is an issue that that is dear to the left, but has flown under the radar of most Americans. It’s a rather technical and arcane subject, but can be summed up rather simply: Net neutrality rules enforced by the Federal Communications Commission would allow government bureaucrats to micromanage the Internet — thus sucking out the lifeblood of the digital economy and threatening the dynamism and freedom we’ve come to take for granted online.
James Lakely, writer of this easy to understand article even for those who don't understand why the tiny people in their television sets can't hear them, I salute you! You, my brother, are a WIN!
Here's the question that should keep locked and loaded at all times when dealing with the government taking : Why?
Why do Barry and Crew, why do the left, think taking over an entity that is operating just fine, thanky, is what's best for you?
Answer: It has nothing to do with you, silly naive Americans. Once again this is about power and control and limiting what it is you can do without government intervention. Oh and money. It's about all that money.
Gut Says: Anything Barry is pushing is death to that particular industry, to innovation in that field, and needs to be staunchly opposed. I love that he sets up net neutrality as protecting the little guy. Bullshit. Name one government intervention coughcoughtakeovercough that has been good for the little guy. Can't think of one?! Exactly. It's government intervention meant to control. Period.
Now someone get the lights and let's roll video.
He talks of push back. If our youth who haven't yet engaged against this administration and their arrogant freedom grab because they think us old(er) folks are overreacting in our fight for freedom, if those that helped to make the Internet what it is today decide that Barry is overreaching, that Barry is bent on taking away something they hold sacred, then the push back mother lode begins.
James Lakely just made that dream a possibility with his concise and arse-kicking article. Pass it on, won't you?
Let the push back of monumental proportions begin in 3...2...

Nice article Patti. This net neutrality idea is very troubling. In fact, the internet is under attack from all kinds of place -- governments and corporations, who want to control the content allowed. That's unacceptable and I hope that people stand up to stop any attempt by anyone to grab control of the net.
andrew: it's going to be interesting to see the response as the steamrolls along..
I know. But on this issue at least, I know people have been lining up to fight it for years. I remember seeing youtube videos attacking net neutrality. So maybe he's picked the wrong fight. . . again?
andrew: picked the wrong fight again?! nah....really?
Patti and Andrew: Obama is a super-talent at picking the wrong fights, and the wrong fighters.
