Health Care Summit Today!
Did that announcement give you a shiver of hope for real change?! DID IT?! Nah, me neither. Especially after Dodd shot off his mouth at a rally yesterday to Republicans:
"Tomorrow we'll have that meeting .... But far more important after that meeting, you can either join us or get out of the way," Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., said at a rally Wednesday.
Hey Chris, get the finger much?!
It's remarks like that that fuel the fight against the Washington machine, yet the left keeps lobbing them at everyday Americans who have dared to raise their voice of HELL NO! against health care in its proposed form. Lefties don't want to hear that the majority of every day folks WANT health care reform (that gets in the way of their world domination plan), but not when it comes with such a beating. The cost, literal and figurative, of this plan is too high.
Makes you feel for small business owners doesn't it? They hire the best people they think can do the job, but once they realize they have made a mistake in judgment by hiring someone who portrayed themselves as something they weren't, they have to stay on top of that horrible employee to minimize the mistakes to the company, hoping like hell the stupid employee doesn't burn the building down and put everyone out of work before they can fire them.
The small business owner not only has his job to do, but the job of the one he hired. Sheesh, talk about productivity taking a hit. The owner dreams of a day when he gets the bad apple(s) out and finds the right person for the position. Then everyone can get back to doing the job they were meant to do and new Fords for everyone!
The End.
Yeah, what am I smoking today?!
Today, I will pay attention to the summit, as I pray in earnest for it's failure. The left had better have their armor on and be ready for battle; the right had better not underestimate the depths to which the left will dive in order to win. It's gonna be a Battle Royale....TELEVISED!
Reconciliation is on the table (reconciliation in this season of Lent sounds right, but is ohso wrong), as is a filibuster. Man, I love a good filibuster. The drama, the crying, the screaming, the figurative wetting of pants.
George Will has an excellent article out today. He lays out the filibuster and talks about how the left has their drawers in a bunch over the threat of a such a thing they deem unconstitutional. Don't you love how they interpret things to be unconstitutional to serve their purpose? They want what they want, Americans be damned.
Today's desperation? Democracy's majoritarian ethic is, liberals say, being violated by the filibuster that prevents their enacting health legislation opposed by an American majority.
Oh Lefties, your mask be slipping.
The best line of Will's article hits the left between the eyes.
Liberals are deeply disappointed with the public, which fails to fathom the excellence of their agenda.
That's you! They think you're idiotic because you don't support their idiocy. Oy.
As long as we never forget that the left will always believe they know what's best for you via what's best for them, we'll be able to defeat their arrogant policies. They won't go easily, but it's a winnable task. Never forget who they are or what they intend for you. Do not let them turn your head, no matter how much they smile or flatter or say they get it. It's all a lie. YOU LIE! Big fat lies intended to get into your wallets and to silence your voice.
Everyone ready?! Let's get ready to rumble!
Fair-warning Note: It's best to wear full body pads and ear plugs during the take-down. They're kickers and screamers.

Patti. I thought the Republicans did a great job. I think the MSM agrees because there aren't any articles about Obama kicking Republican butt -- that's usually a pretty strong sign of Democratic failure.
Well, at least McCain sounded like a fighting conservative Republican. But then we've seen that before, usually just before he made a sharp left turn into the enemy camp.
andrew: love it when the msm is tongue-tied.
law: he's got his campaign face on, that's all.
