SOTU in Review

Liberals continue to bring race back into the conversation when no one else cares. Congratulations Chris Mathews, you're an overused douchebag that all the other douchebags shun.

D'UH! of the Day: Rep. Marion Berry is on to something! He is recommending a revolutionary course of action for Bar and Crew.

Rep. Marion Berry, D-Ark., who is retiring at the end of the year, said of Obama what some Americans have said all year, "'You're trying to do too much too quickly.'"

"Maybe we should listen to them," Berry said. "If we don't listen to them, then they will make you listen to them in November."

Conservative's Battle Cry: NOT TRUE!

Could Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito be any hawter last night as he directly powns Barry while B.O. attempts to bitch-slap the high court's ruling on campaign finance?!

Subtle, classy and CORRECT!

If you didn't watch the debacle of the SOTU (state of the union) address last night, count yourself happier for it. My ears are still tender to the touch. Owwww, bleedy. Train wreck meet Barry. He was muddled, confused, incorrect, (YOU LIE!) and at times downright insulting to the American people. Witness as he talks about problems OF YOUR MAKING:

Those of us in public office can respond to this reality by playing it safe and avoid telling hard truths and pointing fingers. We can do what's necessary to keep our poll numbers high, and get through the next election instead of doing what's best for the next generation.

But I also know this: If people had made that decision 50 years ago, or 100 years ago, or 200 years ago, we wouldn't be here tonight. The only reason we are here is because generations of Americans were unafraid to do what was hard; to do what was needed even when success was uncertain; to do what it took to keep the dream of this nation alive for their children and their grandchildren.

Yep. He thinks you are a bunch of indecisive, chicken-shit, screw-ups. He must have gotten the memo that as a nation we are tired of him blaming Bush (can't quit ya!) and had to pick a new target, so he went with "generations of Americans." Look, Bar isn't ever gonna blame himself for anything that happens on his watch. Gotta have someone to throw under the bus. May as well be you and you and you and you....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The one part he gets right, even if he meant something altogether different (my comments in red):
The spirit that has sustained this nation for more than two centuries lives on in you, its people (and it burns with a renewed strength). We have finished a difficult year. (we?! you have a mouse in your pocket?!) We have come through a difficult decade.(BUSH, BUSH, BUSH!) But a new year has come.(Went to Waldens and got a new penguin calendar!) A new decade stretches before us.(so much to screw with, so little time) We don't quit.(if by we, you mean the American People, you ain't seen nothing yet) I don't quit. (Yes. We know. We know you plan to bend us over regardless of our ire. We know you plan to continue to bully your policies through. WE KNOW.) (Applause.) Let's seize this moment (um, don't mean to brag, but does the name BROWN mean anything to you? We have started OUR seizing of the moment, sir.) -- to start anew, to carry the dream forward, and to strengthen our union once more. (That's the plan. Each time you speak, it feeds the renewed spirit of ours, and our plan, our transparent plan to strengthen our union, is to bring an end to your reign in 2012, but we'll start with your peeps this November) (Applause.)
Thank you. God bless you. And God bless the United States of America. (Amen) (Applause.)
And......scene!
Seriously, who is buying Barry anymore?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My overall feel of Barry's embarrassing/contemptible/overacting/thinly-veiled angry/insulting/overreaching/poorly thought-out attempt to turn Americans back around to his brand of hope and change is that it was a dismal disaster for him and his party. He fell tremendously short of his previously commanding and charismatic self. The curtain has been pulled back. Can't put the genie back in the bottle. His mask has slipped. We see you! (tired of these yet?!)

I predict the left will desperately try to spin Barry's pile of crap into gold. The harder they try to convince us that they aren't all bad, and that they're getting a bad rap and that their failure comes from "not explaining it more clearly." (The line of the SOTU, in my opinion. THERE is his transparency!), the more apparent their condescension and disgust with us is revealed.

Sir, if I may: We aren't stupid. That you think we need things to be explained more clearly is indicative of your stupidity, not ours. We are clear. Thought last week's election might have clued you in. Huh.

Do not be fooled. They are experiencing jail-house religion. They will say what they think you want to hear. They will smile. They will apologize for their sins, kinda. Then when they are released, they will cut you.

So, while last night made my ears bleed and naughty words fly out of my mouth, I am encouraged. Encouraged to know that as long as Barry's heart remains hardened to what is best for this country, and all indications are he will ("I don't quit!") we have a strong chance to take back what is ours. I, like you, am living for that moment.

Onward!

Well said Patti, I agree with your analysis entirely. This guy is a turd, and he's finished. He's shown that he had no sense of what the people do and do not want, and he's determined to bend us to his will. That's not going to work.
