Monday Morning Memo
Note to Republican Leadership: Stop bogarting the conservative movement and start leading. If you want our vote in 2010, you are going to have to earn it. No threat, just fact. You are ineffective in your push-back of the liberal agenda and it has taken the Regular Joe to hit the streets, to shut down town halls, to do what most of them elected you to do. Grow a backbone, show some fight AND MEAN IT, do not compromise OUR beliefs for the sake of getting along, or your political career, and maybe you will have gained some ground with those of us who are disgusted with your politics.
Note to Democratic Leadership: We, the people, are coming for your jobs. Now would be the time for you to update those resumes and put feelers out in the private sector. Count on it.
Note to We, The People: You make me proud to be an American. You give me hope for the future. You strengthen me in your conviction. You show up when needed. You roll up your sleeves and get to work where others wait. You hound Washington daily. You call. You write. You insist on being heard. You make signs and protest. You blog. You tweet. You Facebook. You pass along important emails. You research. You think. You do not sit quietly. You do not shut-up. You support those pushing back. You raise your voice. You confront lies with truth. You refuse to be intimidated. You flag yourself to the WH and melt their servers. You READ THE BILL. You are relentless in your fight for freedom, even at the cost of some you love. You pray.
I offer my unending thanks and gratitude. Like every American generation before us that has had to fight for their freedoms, that has had to fight tyranny, that has had to fight for those unwilling to believe in the truth of what was unfolding, we will prevail. Be encouraged that we, the people, are gaining strength as we unite in the fight of our lives.
Onward, in faith.

Obama wants the Internets
Please strap on your helmets. You are gonna need them.
Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.
BOOM! I do believe that the younger generation now have a dog in the hunt.
How can you help, my young friends? Send that article or the link or this page to all your friends. Barry just enlisted you as patriots in the fight. Too bad it's not gonna be for his side.

Hitler for Laughs...and now Pelosi
Witness (NSFW):
How about when Hitler finds out Jackson has passed?
Some days we just need a good laugh. Tomorrow back to business.
Hat Tips: Big Hollywood, Exhibit A and Andrew, Exhibit B.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well hell, I'm back. I just couldn't let this go without a poke back at her.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has launched an urgent effort to raise $100,000 by Monday to help combat what she calls GOP "smears" about health care reform.
Oh Nanc, I hope you get your dollars. When you do, instead of trying to "set the record straight" (man, i tried not to laugh at that, but. just. couldn't) I think the money would be better served with your party buying a clue.
First of all, now pay attention here cause I'm about to tell you AGAIN where you are failing, it's not the Republicans that are leading this effort against big government and all the stanky cheese you have to offer, its CONSERVATIVES. Say it with me: Conservatives are leading the way back to freedom. That you insist on calling us "special interest" groups is one of your main failings. We are not a special interest group, we are an American Freedom interest group. Once you grasp that, the rest is easy.
What you call a "smear" we call putting light to deception.
The ONE thing you get right is that we are hoping to derail your freedom-killing change. This you can count on. This is the ground swell that you can not stop, that you refuse to acknowledge as America's majority voice. We get that. We understand that. It strengthens us.
Raise all the money you want Nanc. Money won't buy your behinds out of this one. Count on it.
While you don't get us, we most certainly get you, and we refuse to stand silently by while you dismantle what we love, what allowed you your place in these historic times. All your money can't shut us down, no matter how you wish it could. We are watching and listening and acting. We refuse your admonishments to take a seat and shut up. We reject your intimidation trying to sway us into silence. We will not allow you to tell us who we are or how we should proceed, no matter how much money you raise. And really? You think it would only take $100,000 to make things right on your end? Laughable doesn't cover it.
So, go ahead, ask for your cash and use it to attack us again. You're doing us a favor. It just fires-up the freedom base, baby. And we know how you and your libby friends love those folks.
Happy fund-raising!
Teddy And A Homeless Dude
That said, my prediction is Pelosi and Crew will trot Ted's image out, perhaps even the images of him being laid to rest with his overwhelmingly sad family in the shot, in hopes of winning the sympathy vote for deathcare. Ironic thing is, he would have never had the chance to live as long as he did with brain cancer had their horrifying policy been in effect. He would have been in front of the tribunal being asked why didn't he just make it easier on those he'd leave behind. Come on, die already and save us all the worry and expense. Well, had he been an ordinary citizen. Congress folk will not be terrorized as you and I will be if this thing goes.
I think there is plenty of good to support in Ted's long life, but deathcare ain't even close. Not even if he's dead.
RIP Teddy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That was fast....
US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi vowed Wednesday to push through embattled health reform legislation this year following the death of Senator Ted Kennedy, who called the effort "the cause of my life".
"Ted Kennedy's dream of quality health care for all Americans will be made real this year because of his leadership and his inspiration," Pelosi said in a statement.
Just because it was the cause of anyone's life is not a sufficient reason for Congress to disregard what the American people are saying, in the most ardent of ways, that this is not their cause, that they DO NOT WANT.

Made me LOL of the Day: This is why I give food or drink (non-umbrelly!) to the homeless and never cash:
Ken Johnson, 52, spends up to 16 hours a day, seven days a week, sitting at a Sydney intersection that can net him $400 a day from generous pedestrians, and has brought him a steady income since the late 90s.
$400 bucks?! That's a lot of new shoes!
Don't be fooled, sitting on a sidewalk is tough work. This is the guy's business and as such, he has complaints:
"I'd be really disappointed if I did a long Friday and I only had $250,'' Johnson told The Telegraph.
Cha, me too. That would totally suck. Lousy pedestrians not forking over their cash, their useless change, while you sit there all sad-like with a sign, and a really good sign at that:
Johnson's sign reads, "Needing support for major family exp(enses) including just heaps for medicine. Paying up is a big grind. Please leave me alone, if you are the abusive nasty sort."
Man, I know how you feel. Bills are a bitch. The grind makes us cranky. And who needs judgment from people who just don't get this is your business, that in fact, you are a visionary, showing us the wave of the future (should all Barry's incentives fly through).
As to why he is still homeless, Johnson says it is a choice.
And this brings me back to why I only hand out food and drink. Which, by the way, several homeless have taken me to task for. I say, only I get my beer money. It's a choice.

Shining a Light
Chilled yet?
I'm sure you have all heard of the boycott against Glenn Beck's program by now, with advertisers pulling ads, but maybe what you don't know is this:
FOX's Glenn Beck used his popular program today to "attack the background of Van Jones, a White House environmental advisor who co-founded an African American political advocacy group that has organized an advertising boycott of his program,''
The question I am asking myself this morning (i didn't see the original broadcast of this yesterday as some of you did) is why would such a high ranking government official with radical ties feel he had to go after Beck (whom i agree AND disagree with on a daily basis)? The same Beck they marginalize and dismiss as lunatic fringe. The same Beck whose followers they dismiss as lunatic and fringe. Where's the harm? We don't typically go after lunatics and fringe cause they are, well, lunatics fringe. Harmless in their tin foil crazy.
The only logical answer is that Beck is bringing the heat, THE TRUTH, and opponents can't be having someone exposing them, now can they? Can't have someone pulling back the wizard's curtain and shining the light of truth, now can we? Wouldn't be good for the country to be aware of who is in such powerful positions, now would it?
That they are going after Glenn is proof positive that something is amiss. We don't listen to the ranting homeless folk on the street corner as they rant and rave, even if they do have a point. Those we believe to be harmless lunatic fringe are ignored or mocked. But those telling a painful truth when we'd rather they shut their mouths, those are the ones we try to neutralize.
Sounding familiar?
Is Glenn lunatic fringe? Man, he gets awful close at times. Is he shining a truth that the WH would rather see hidden? My gut is telling me yes.
Glenn is sticking his neck out where few will tread and he's going to pay for it. So the remaining question is: What will we do about it? Will we support him or will we allow him to take the hits alone as he tries to shine a light of truth where there is still darkness?

Political Soup
Onward.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whole Foods CEO John Mackey is being vilified by his own because he DARED to oppose Barry's deathcare in an article that ran in the Wall Street Journal. Not only did he oppose Barry's plan so publicly, he then offered his own plan (sensible plan at that) as a starting point for a solution in this great debate.
I was going to write a brilliant entry on how much I love John (how can you not love a liberal dude who poked his sharp stick in the eyes of so many of his fellow libs?!) and how we should support this man in his effort of sanity in the health care debate, but two great writers beat me to it, so how 'bout a linky link instead (yes, it was a long weekend, thanks for understanding).
First link goes to my bud LawHawkSF over at Commentarama. If you still haven't gotten over there, well, shame on you. They are light sabers to my sling shot. Get thee over and grow your brain, will ya?! His article is HERE. Enjoy.
The other linky link is to Big Hollywood's Andrew Breitbart. This dude rocks on so many levels. And if you haven't been to his site either, man what am I going to do with you people?! Go HERE for his article. DO IT!
The funniest part of all of this is liberals are horrified one of their own has stepped off point and they are punishing his freedom to think for himself by calling for a boycott on Whole Foods. That's enough reason for me to start shopping there. If you wanna join me, the more the merrier. Everyone To Whole Foods! I hear the beef is delicious.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I started this blog The Fairness Doctrine was all the talk, and now not so much, but in hopes of arming you with information along the lines of understanding that our fight is not only about deathcare but all of the freedom grabbing tentacles this administration has, I want you to know this bad boy isn't dead yet.
I have been laughed at when I bring this subject up. I have been told no one on the left is interested in the Fairness Doctrine, or whatever new name the left will cloak it in. That's not entirely true, hell it's not even a little true. I hate to say I was right, but The Fairness Doctrine is out there AND the left is very happy to help bring it back, even though they don't seem to realize if they take away our freedom of speech they are also taking away theirs. Minor details to playground bullies.
In Libbieland, HuffPo is Godlike, and as Gods, they only report on the most important issues of the day, like freedom grabs for all you naughty conservatives who just won't SHUT THE HELL UP! In the article that pushes readers to call congress in support of the doctrine, they then proceed to call the conservative talk show hosts hatemongers. They call anyone who listens to those shows fearful AND hateful. The article is forceful in its plea to shut down conservative talk radio. Don't you just hate when someone scares you?! (to all libs, this is a play on the author's words. we be NOT scared. quite the opposite, in case you haven't been paying attention. just didn't want to confuse you)
Michelle Malkin covers it in a different light. Go HERE to witness who these folks are and why we need to gird our loins.
No one on the left cares about The Fairness Doctrine anymore? That would be a big fat hairy negatory. Like I said, I hate to say I was right.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The media is reporting that Obama is not happy with them, that the thrill is gone. Please, we wish. If that were truly the case then that would mean the media is doing its job right for the first time in years, but as we all know the media is in love with Barry and Crew and this unhappiness is merely a lover's spat.
Yet the article did have a few telling lines after explaining how the liberal press helped push Barry to victory in the election, yet is now feeling like he is blowing the Left’s big chance.
Sheesh. As if that isn't chilling, there they go again, telling us exactly who they are, and all we have to do is pay attention to see it. They helped the dude by skewing the coverage in his favor and now they are starting to eat their own because of the perception that Barry is blowing for them (their own words).
They do get one thing right:
But there is no opponent here other than public opinion and no finish line other than the end of his term. "No finish line other than the end of his term." I couldn't have said it better. Kinda puts a smile on your face just thinking about it, doesn't it?!
Happy Monday everyone.
Sabbath Prayer
Just as Barry has asked pastors all over the land to address, from the alter, what he thinks is the righteousness of his deathcare plan, I offer my sabbath prayer in opposition: God bless each and every patriot willing to stand up and be counted in this fight of our lifetime. May the ears of Washington open and hear the will of the people. May the eyes of Washington see and believe the angered masses. May the minds of Washington be opened to the collective voice of truth ringing from coast to coast. And through it all, may God protect us and keep us as we walk forward in the name of freedom for all.
Badass of the Day: Marine David. Semper Fi, Marine, and thank you for continuing to uphold and protect the Constitution. We owe you a debt of gratitude. You have mine.
Hat Tip for the video: Big Hollywood.
See you at church
If President Obama has his way, you'll soon be hearing about his health care package when you go to your church or synagogue to pray.
Oh have mercy. If this happens the White House is in for the surprise of their life, and I am all for surprising Washington. Folks opposing deathcare and the takeover of our freedoms are serious about being heard, and preaching to them about healthcare from the alter on the orders of Barry is not acceptable. If stoking the fire of righteous anger is their plan, then by all means preach this lie in God's house. I for one will not be silenced if this happens. If I am sitting in the pew, and my priest starts spewing Barry's rhetoric and is fine with being a pawn in the lie machine, then I will have to stand and oppose the blatant disregard for the sanctity of a house of worship.
I know I am not alone in this strong opinion. There are others out there who will defend their churches from the will of a man who is bent on taking what it is he wants in any manner necessary.
How dare he assume to tell us that his plan is God's will. How dare he try to manipulate the weak. How dare he try to intimidate by invoking God. How dare he cross the line from politics into the sacred territory of our religious beliefs.
This is also telling:
There is only one reason to go off the record: you don't want to be held accountable for what your say.
Wanna listen? Sure you do:
He tells us that some are "bearing false witness" in the debate. He just keeps pointing out what he is doing and all you have to do is listen. He says we can keep our healthcare plan, can keep your doctors, then he vilifies the insurance companies. Sure, keep your doc for a while, but eventually you will be forced onto the government rolls. And the plan is to attack big corporations, cause you hate them, right?! He denies the death panels, yet the death panels were dropped last week. This is a matter of public records. Can't take out something that didn't exist. He tells of "distortion" and "fabrications" in the plan. Again, he's pointing out what he is doing and hoping you don't take the time to think. Then he berates those who oppose the plan by saying that we are neglecting the weakest among us. This is a little sneakier, because he takes you to task by invoking Jesus, yet doesn't come right out and say it, but it's there so you feel like you have failed and maybe his plan is good. Baloney. I give to many charities and I know you do to. I am taking care of my brothers and sisters. THIS IS NOT A GOVERNMENT ISSUE.
Church is sanctuary from the world. It strengthens, it soothes, it provides wisdom and retreat. It is not the place for politics, no matter where you stand on the issue.
I pray our religious leaders don't take the bait. I pray they keep their flock's best interest at heart and not the will of a man who has proven track record of deceit.
On the other hand, if they proceed with Barry's outrageous arm-twisting, if they crumble to a man, let us draw our line in the sand and stand firm in the face of such blatant disregard for God's house.
See you at church.
Helmets on
This headline made me squint in order to keep my eyes from shooting out of my head: New RX for Heath Plan: Split Bill
Oye. Different tactic, same shenanigans.
The idea is the latest effort by Democrats to escape the morass caused by delays in Congress, as well as voter discontent crystallized in angry town-hall meetings. Polls suggest the overhaul plans are losing public support, giving Republicans less incentive to go along.
Democrats hope a split-the-bill plan would speed up a vote and help President Barack Obama meet his goal of getting a final measure by year's end.
You know the drill: helmets on.
So, as we look at the above clip we can see that dems are indeed aware of voter discontent with the legislation, with voter anger and with the voters no longer supporting their insanity. Yet, they disregard that the voters are their employers, THAT THEY WORK FOR US, and they are gonna totally ignore what you want and help their pal Barry get something he wants. They are going to help him meet his goals, not yours.
The arrogance is stomach-turning. And they tell you day after day what they think of you. And by "you" I mean any who oppose them, even if you share their party. All you have to do is pay attention. They know exactly what they are doing (um, bending you over comes to mind), and they don't give a flip what you think.
Why in the world would anyone support their underhanded lefty tactics in the face of such proven opposition from Americans of all political affiliations (including their own)? Why align yourself with someone who will screw you just as soon as they are screwing us? It boggles the mind.
Inch by Inch
President Barack Obama will Thursday hold a live online and telephone strategy meeting to rally devoted grass roots backers as a backlash over his health reform plan spreads to liberal media commentators.
"This is a critical time in this president's administration and in the history of our country. I hope you can join us," Plouffe wrote in an email to supporters, soliciting questions for the president.
Obama mobilized the greatest army of grass roots activists in US history during his capture of the Democratic nomination and the presidency last year.
But so far, it is not clear if those legions of supporters are prepared to turn out in their millions to help him push key legislation through congress.
There is nothing wrong with Barry talking to those that support him, (although he better be quick about it because the numbers are dropping fast) but don't try and feed us lies about what this really is; he wants his supporters to show up in numbers as large as ours hoping that they will be #1 as loud and passionate about this as we are and #2 that their show of support, their loud voices, will intimidate or silence you.
Barney Frank was wrong on this matter, as is Barry. We will not be silenced, get used to it. Interesting note in the clip, Barney spends considerable time insulting the people who came to this meeting. Straight out of Barry's handbook of isolating and attacking the person, instead of actually talking about the issues.
Ignoring the voice that is rising shows that Barry and Crew have no idea what it is they are witnessing. Anyone can be loud, but in order to demonstrate the anger and passion we are watching expand, one must own it. Barry's supporters don't. Many of them are looking for a handout on our dime. They voted this man in with hope for your change. Problem is Barry is losing many who voted for him. They are waking up and joining the effort to defeat Barry and Crew's bad legislation and horrifying freedom grab.
Today a headline announced that the dems are going to try and go it alone with the vote for deathcare reform. Go it alone. As if the petulant are against them. As if those who are screaming to be heard need to be guided. As if they know best and shut your mouth. SHUT YOUR MOUTH!
WASHINGTON — Given hardening Republican opposition to congressional health care proposals, Democrats now say they see little chance for the minority's cooperation in approving any overhaul, and are increasingly focused on drawing support for a final plan from within their own ranks.
Top Democrats said Tuesday that their go-it-alone view was being shaped by what they saw as Republicans' purposely strident tone against health care legislation during this month's congressional recess, as well as remarks by leading Republicans that current proposals were flawed beyond repair.
The White House spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said of Republican lawmakers, "Only a handful seem interested in the type of comprehensive reform that so many people believe is necessary to ensure the principles and the goals that the president has laid out."
"hardening Republican opposition" um, I venture it's the conservatives who are leading this effort. you know, as in the regular joe american.
"purposely strident tone against" that's what happens when you throw crap against a wall and tell folks it's good for them. it's crap. on a wall. not good for us.
"reform that so many people see as necessary" hmmm, the generalization of "so many people" was meant, i think, to throw you off of what is really meant: reform that barry and crew see as necessary. for you. because you want it. or at least so many people do.
and the last one,
"to ensure the principles and goals that the president has laid out." BOOM! there it is. i knew if we'd pay attention they would tell us exactly who they are. barry wants it = wtf does it matter what you want?
Really that last one is all you need to know. Barry has a plan and screw anyone who gets in the way. The rising sea of discontent? Bah? Peasants have no idea what is good for them. Deflect to the personal level. Insult the movement. Explain how we are being fed lies and scare tactics from the evil right. Above all, lie lie lie and scare folks at every turn.
My favorite delusion of the left this morning came from a story over at Politico. It explains how Barry has realized that he will have to pass this legislation with Democratic votes alone. That the focus will now go to getting the votes within his party.
Here's the line that wraps up their unwillingness to hear the American people. Helmets on, folks.
"We were forced into this by Republicans," one official said.
I wanted to laugh, but my angry passion got in the way. They are telling us at every turn who they are and what they plan to do. Their arrogance at pushing their will over hard working American's will is the exact thing that is fueling this fire. My fellow patriots, do not give them an inch more than they have already taken. Instead of retreating because it is easier, instead of bowing to their freedom grab, instead of using our indoor voices and our sweet polite words, I suggest we strive to take back what is ours. I suggest we take back our inches before they become the feet of jackbooted thugs.
May God Bless America and those who are fighting to return her to the people.
Gun-toting Americans
The media wet their pants with delight and swarmed him. WTF?! OMG!!! IT'S A GUN!! What are you doing?!
Well for starters it's legal in Arizona. You can carry concealed or you can carry in plain view. Before any of my libby readers (glad you came) gets their panties/jockeys in a bunch. It. Is. The. Law. The dude/s was totally within his rights to carry. He wasn't in a place that was restricted. He was totally within the law.
I have heard some say that just the sight of his weapons could incite violence. You can bet no conservative offered that bit of poo. Other than making me laugh, but then I live in a state where many children grow up within plain view of multiple hunting weapons and they aren't shooting up anyone, it pissed me off. People, this is the law in Arizona. He was completely within his rights.
Would it have made a difference if he'd been carrying concealed? Cause there's lots of us out there doing just that. Weapons are being carried by citizens. People who you'd never suspect of carrying are toting weapons. Those citizens aren't the ones committing crimes. They are the ones who spend their time and money to comply with the law in order to get a license to carry.
Here in Texas you have to fork over close to $300 bucks, plus give up 10-15 hours of a weekend to take the class and shoot up a paper dummy to prove you are proficient. You are fingerprinted by both the state and the FBI. Criminals don't like spending their money, they like taking yours (hey congress, have a moment of chilled recognition there?!). They don't like the idea of law enforcement having their prints, let alone the FBI. Criminals are not the ones in the classes. Regular everyday concerned citizens are in those classes, are at the practice ranges, are making your behinds safer. You're welcome.
So when I heard of the dude openly carrying in a state where that is his right, I thought BRAVO! Way to exercise your freedom, mister. Way to show that you will not be bowed by those who seek to terrorize you. Way to creatively stir the pot. Bravo.
For the record, I don't think he's fringe. I think that he's tired of Washington stealing our freedoms and wishing he didn't have to make such a political statement. I bet he'd rather be at the practice range. I think he was making a point, a dramatic point, but nevertheless a point that should be taken seriously as it shines a light on the discontent of a growing majority of this nation.
``It's a political statement,'' he told The Boston Globe. ``If you don't use your rights, then you lose your rights.''
Amen brother. Amen.
Note to Republican Leadership
One topic that routinely irritates me concerns the GOP floundering on leadership. They seem genuinely confused as how to proceed, how to woo back independents and those of us who, until recently, were lifelong Republicans and basically happy with our party of choice, yet who are now demanding a more conservative platform if they are to retain our vote.
Get back to basics, Bubs. It's that simple.
The Republican leadership flies their trial balloons of candidates, and is befuddled when that hand-picked person bombs. They talk about "recovering" from the losses of the last election (hey fellas and gals, that was an ass whoopin' deluxe. the time for recovering is past. it's time to get back to the roots of who you are). They yak about their "voice" yet are clueless that the only ones listening are their fellow Republican bullshitters.
Republican Leadership, please, I beg of you, allow me to fill your ignorant behinds in. Obviously you aren't paying close enough attention, or God forbid, you are underestimating the conservative movement just as the liberals have/are.
Republican Leaders: if you want to know how to win the hearts and minds of the conservative movement, I suggest you take to the streets to gather notes. The folks who are filling the town hall meetings, the folks who are calling and emailing (to the point of blowing WH servers!), the folks who are demanding to be heard, the folks who will move heaven and earth to keep their freedoms, the folks who are praying for leadership, the folks who are showing the heart of a lion in the face of being demonized and labeled and being flagged by the WH as people of interest, those are the folks who will help you.
Get to the streets and talk to those folks. They are waiting for you to ask what it is they want from you. And you better listen because they will offer you the holy grail, but only if you act on their truth. If you choose to dismiss them as Barry and Crew are doing, well my brothers and sisters, you may very well find yourself out of a job as well as your liberal counterparts.
Conservatives are dead serious about what we are doing. We are eating and breathing politics when we would rather be enjoying the last weeks of summer or watching stupid reality shows and having a laugh. We are leaving our homes and showing up at meetings where we know we face ridicule and opposition. We are talking to neighbors and folks at work and in the grocery stores about your antics and how we must stop your planned takeover of our freedoms. We are writing emails and letters and calling congress folks when we'd rather be doing just about anything else. We are taking to the vast Internets (thanky Al Gore!), to the blogs and Facebook and news sites to have our say, to help educate those who are just awaking, to debate those on the other side of the aisle. We ARE angry and we refuse to sit by and let this country, our country, their country, go to hell because of this administration.
We are the patriots of our time, and you, my misguided and infuriatingly slow-to-the-party Republicans, are not.
Abandon your ivory towers and move your tushes into your districts. Go door to door if you must. Make yourself available to listen. Cause you can't hear the will of folks if you are yammering about what y'all liked to do in Washington, what you're working on in Washington, how things can take time in Washington. We aren't buying it. And you will do well to remember that you work for us. You work for the new patriot class of the United States of America.
Now, get to work.
Dirty Time
If you oppose Barry's death squads (one troubling provision of the House bill compels seniors to submit to a counseling session every five years (and more often if they become sick or go into a nursing home) about alternatives for end-of-life care (House bill, p. 425-430). The sessions cover highly sensitive matters such as whether to receive antibiotics and "the use of artificially administered nutrition and hydration.") and socialism or Marxism (yes and yes and yes), you are most certainly on the conservative end of the political spectrum. And we all know what that means: you must want the president to get shot.
What?! You don't?! That can't be right. The "news" is reporting that you wish the president ill-will, that you are violent rhetoricians (say that three times fast) who must be part of a hate group.
Yet when Bush was in office and similar signs popped up, it was just the American way. Protesting is in our blood, you know. It's healthy. Even Pelosi was all for it....then.
So, it's getting dirty. They are accusing you of instigating and hoping for an assassination of the president. You. The people who are just sick and tired of meddlesome government. They are pointing at you, YOU!, and saying if something happens it's on you. That your loud voices and your justifiable righteous anger is evil.
Huh. Has anything important been settled with politeness and calm in this country? Do you think the freedom from England came easily? Do you think the right for the woman's vote came easy? Or the end of slavery? Or the right for blacks to vote or even use the same restrooms as whites came easily? Do you think anything of importance in our country's great history has come without vigorously engaging those who are wrong, or without a display of the emotion we are seeing on a daily basis? Do you think that in any of those situations that those in power didn't try everything to try and squash the opposition?
Be encouraged, my friends. The fact that Barry and Crew are fighting dirty is the truest sign that we are making progress. Do not let them dare tell you that you wish the president any tragedy, or that by simply exercising your right to free speech that you are part of a hate group. Do not let them define you. Do not let them twist this freedom grabbing march to socialism into anything other than what it is.
This administration wants you to politely hand over your freedoms, they want you to shut up and be nice, they want you to agree to what they want when they want it, and it's up to us to remind them of the tried and true American tradition of saying I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANY MORE!
Bill Is Gonna Show Them WHAT?!
I will leave my humiliation posted as a lesson learned. Such an idiot. (still it would have been hilarious had it been the other way around....dadgum it.)
Critics of my work: please note that I just took myself to task for misrepresenting the facts. I am nothing if not fair. I am an equal opportunity shamer. Word.
Made me LOL of the Day: Headline: Clinton heads to Liberia to show women power
Maybe it's because of the recent story and jokes made about Bill bringing home the women "hostages" from North Korea (talk about snakes on a plane *rimshot*), or maybe it's because I was raised with a pack of wolves known as the neighborhood boys, but my inner 12 year old boy laughed when I saw the headline and then I immediately thought (brace yourself): Show women power?!? Is that his new name for his, um, his, well...you know, right? Aren't they in for a surprise!
Oh man. Hillary has got to be rolling her eyes at that headline, bracing for the jokes, wondering when, exactly, the spotlight started slipping away from her.
Hope no one spit coffee on a monitor or gagged on their donut. I'll be back later with more serious fare. Show women power....hehe.
They Don't Get It
Barry also weighs in on the growing rage against the machine: Obama answered his critics indirectly. At his town hall in Portsmouth, N.H., he urged Americans to ignore those who try to "scare and mislead the American people," telling a cordial audience, "For all the scare tactics out there, what is truly scary is if we do nothing."
Pelosi says you're un-American when you loudly voice your opposition. Oh, and you're afraid of different views. Don't get me started about the "facts": These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views — but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American. Drowning out the facts is how we failed at this task for decades.
One citizen vocalizes what many feel: "If they don't let us vent our frustrations out, they will have a revolution," Mary Ann Fieser of Hillsboro, Mo., told McCaskill at her Missouri health care forum.
The response to her strong words, her words that are telling all politicians American's intent? Sen. Claire McCaskill admonished the rowdy crowd, saying "I don't understand this rudeness. I honestly don't get it."
And there it is in a nutshell; they don't get it. Either their words of "not getting it" are meant to soothe their liberal constituents into believing a falsehood, a denying-it-makes-it-true moment OR they are truly clueless when confronted with pure passion and revolt as our freedoms are threatened.
Either way, they need to go. They need a different line of work. They need a pink slip. And we are just the folks to oblige.
Be encouraged. Those of us who see are gaining traction.
Forward-Ho!
Snark + God = Perfect Post
I love how she went all ghetto with the head weave and the googly eyes and the hand gestures. This question was the last straw. Not only did she have to deal with Bill getting first billing on the North Korean "hostage" crisis made-for-CNBC-movie, but then there was news of a Vegas birthday party thrown by Bill for Bill. Gore gave his regrets. As usual.
You could almost see the smoke shooting out of her ears.
This blog has afforded me the opportunity to have conversations with the younger generation about what the hell is happening to our country. Most are concerned, but my sense is that many of them are not yet to the tipping point. Part of what I try to do here is point out how Barry and Crew are coming for them as well as us older folks. As I watch videos of the Tea Parties, the Town Halls, the overall anger rising in our collective American belly, I look for these younger folks. My theory is simple: Until we witness large numbers of them at events, we will not win this fight. We need the young to become widely engaged. Young Patriots, the time is now. Your future is in your hands. Our country is at the precipice. Will you join your voices, your talents, your strong wills with those already slugging it out in the trenches?
Need some righteous anger? How about this? (It's bonus that Chuck Norris wrote the ticked off article for Town Hall. POW!)
Yep, Barry wants control how you are going to raise your sweet peas. You figure out what will happen if you don't comply.
Generations are defined by moments like these. It's gut-check time, my friends.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On a personal note, I want to thank all who come to this blog and engage in the most important conversation of our lifetime. Most of you don't know me personally, yet you take a leap to trust my words. (there are others who come that don't trust my words, but that they repeatedly come on over too is thanks enough) I appreciate that. I appreciate those who agree and those who don't. Who doesn't love a feisty conversation?! I realize there are many places on the vast Internets (thanky Al Gore!) where you can spend your time, so when you show up here, I am humbled. Thank you.
On the chance of being called a fool (eh, I've been called far worse), I want to ask that all who read here, all who read this entry, to take a moment to offer prayer for our country's protection and path. We are in dangerous times. We need wisdom and strength to overcome. I believe in America. I believe in the Constitution. I believe that to be free is the longing of all men's hearts, yet the fight is difficult.
Please pray. In God we trust.

Mighty Push Back
Organizing for America (OFA) is pushing those on its e-mail list to attend health care town halls and hold up a sign in their congressional districts to make clear there is support for Obama's health care efforts.
"Our congressional representatives are back home this month, and they're facing more and more pressure from special interests on health insurance reform," wrote Melissa DeRosa, OFA's New York director, in an e-mail touting a town hall Rep. Eric Massa is holding tonight in his upstate New York district. "It's critical that we get out there and show them where we stand."
Libbies runnin' scared. Delicious.
When Prop Eight was defeated and there were angry folks in the streets, what kind of language did the libbies use to describe the crowds? Let's see, shall we? WE SHALL!
Advocates
Supporters
Proponents
Protesters
And then there was this commonly heard response from one of the folks who voted against Prop Eight: Andrew Pugno, a spokesman for the Yes on 8 campaign, says he has received hundreds of e-mails from people complaining about "retaliation for their support of Prop 8," including threats to them and their families.
Lesson learned libbies; you want people to embrace your ideals, you want people to open their minds to what you believe, you want everyone to do as you say and not as you actually, hatefully, do. Got it.
So what does the left have to say about the right as we battle Barry's Death Care legislation? Let's see, shall we? WE SHALL!
Hooligans
Wingnut
Astroturf activists
abusive tactics of the right
This mob
Liars (barry himself is using this one, albeit in "lies" form)
I would have warned you to put on your helmets, but it just gives me the giggles instead. Because of the left's sheer blind obedience to Barry and Crew, I wear their stupid (ignorant does not apply here), laughable, pooping themselves, labels as a badge of honor.
Hey everyone, a libbie called us wingnuts and hooligans!
Burn. Wait, no, not so much. Hmmm, when one is right, all the names in the world are laughable. And then there is the moment where you feel sorry for the other guys and wish they could take a breath and think.
The saddest part of all this is that while Barry lies out his behind about what will happen to health care should this horrifying monstrosity passes (ie, it's all rainbows and unicorns for you!), the libs will be the first in line yelling why they ain't gettin' their pills after the medical board voted that their pain wasn't worth the expenditure. NEXT.
So, for those of you who may be with Barry, for those of you who are all in for this medical freebie, I'll explain something about the growing discontent at the Town Hall meetings and the Brooks Brother Brigade. What you are seeing is old fashioned push-back. You are witnessing what Americans do when unhappy. We are protesting. We are organizing. We are voicing our strong opinions in loud voices to those we hired to do a job, yet are disregarding what we want.
Just like you did.
Yes, some want the death care debacle to continue, but most Americans are against it. The job of our elected officials is to do the American people's will. The End.
Those of us who are tired of the name calling, tired of government telling us that we aren't fit to run our own lives (and whether you believe it or not right now, they are including your behind in that group), tired of a systematic take-over of our freedoms, tired of the folks who insist that we be open-minded yet can't open their minds enough to see what this administration is doing RIGHT BEFORE THEIR EYES, have reached our tipping point.
We are pushing back.

Really? Was it that easy?
Two American journalists freed by North Korea from months of detention returned to the United States on Wednesday accompanied by former President Bill Clinton, who secured their release in a meeting with the reclusive state's leader Kim Jong-il. If not, can you imagine how PO'ed Hil is feeling this morning?! (hehe, not to mention how miffed Al Gore must feel. his efforts to get these women home just couldn't seal the deal. kinda like 2000 all over again) Had to send in the swarmy dude to get things done. Hey Secretary of State, the pantsuits aren't intimidating enough. The finger wag in the face is so 1990's. The scowl is in need of some fire. Time to update the Reset Button thingymajiggy.
Or Hil, you could do what Bill did. Take your sexy self to N. Korea and slip someone the tongue. You so know he took some Cuban cigars with him.
The whole deal has me cocking my head to the side, scrunching my nose, squinting my eyes, and doing my best Scooby-Do double take, wondering if it could have really been as easy as sending Bill.
Anyone else?!

Jokers Are Wild
Bush as Joker
Now there is this:

The difference is we have folks horrified by the second, yet the first was viewed as accurate and funny.
"Depicting the president as demonic and a socialist goes beyond political spoofery," says Hutchinson, "it is mean-spirited and dangerous."
Personally, I think the office demands respect, I don't like either of them. I also don't like the president (any of them) appearing on Leno or Letterman, showing us what musical instrument they play or telling bad jokes about their bowling game. It demeans the office while pandering to those who may only get their "news" from comedy shows.
The interesting thing here is why all the fuss libbies? If it was funny about George, why doesn't the joke translate for your dude? You holler and scream when someone points out the obvious about The One, yet suddenly find your funny bone when the sharp stick pokes a conservative. In the immortal words of The Joker: Why so serious?
Made Me LOL of the Day: While Fart Gate (as it has been tagged) has absolutely nothing to do with politics, I think we can still have a good laugh about it. CBS has officially stated that Tiger wasn't responsible. Doesn't matter. Still funny as hell.
NOTE: even though the video here is gone, TMZ has the original video.

August Rumble
#1: Barry has spent his political lifetime gunning for nationalized health care. He wants to eliminate competition and allow the government full control of your health care. Witness, thanks to Breitbart TV.
#2: Those of you who make under $250,000 and took Barry's words to heart that you wouldn't see your taxes raised, get ready. They are now coming after you to pay for this single payer horror, that is if you let them get away with such nonsense.
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and National Economic Council Director Larry Summers both sidestepped questions on Obama's intentions about taxes. Geithner said the White House was not ready to rule out a tax hike to lower the federal deficit; Summers said Obama's proposed health care overhaul needs funding from somewhere.
August is upon us. Let's get ready to ruuuuuuumble.....
