All I Want For Christmas....

Barrycare New Ambulance System Secret Trial Run:

(hat tip: grumpy old man)

There has been lots of speculation about the Dems backing down on the public option, lots of hope inspired by the MSM stories that We, The People have been heard (Whoopee!) and Washington is set to "settle" this issue with compromise.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi expressed support Thursday for a Senate Democratic proposal to expand Medicare, raising prospects that the two chambers of Congress can work out differences on health-care legislation.

The proposal would open Medicare to some people ages 55 to 64, and is a key feature of a deal among senior Senate Democrats that would abandon efforts to enact a big government-run health-insurance program. The deal would also empower the government's Office of Personnel Management to contract with private insurers to offer new low-cost insurance plans.

Gut Says: Don't believe these lying mofos.

Lieberman, the guy who swore he would filibuster a public option and gained my respect, whom we trusted had grown a pair and would stand for the majority of voters who oppose this fiasco, has punked each and every one of us. He is the biggest waffle this side of Waffleville.

First he has this to say:

An alternative to the public option pitched by moderate and progressive Democrats on Tuesday has so far attracted the attention of at least one the chamber's most important swing votes.

While Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) stressed in a statement on Wednesday he remained opposed to any government-based insurance program, he said he was "encouraged" by Democrats' latest proposal, which was submitted for an official cost estimate last night..

Then this:

Lieberman said that the debate over healthcare was at a "hold" until results of the compromise proposal returned from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), and by no means was a deal sealed on the compromise at this point.

"But on this attempt for a compromise, it ain't over by any means," he said. "People who were in the room of 10 -- I wasn't one of them -- said that as far as they're concerned, some of my moderate friends, all they agreed to do was to send those two ideas to the budget office to get evaluated. So that's not the end of this struggle."

Translation: Maybe I won't vote for it, maybe I will. Who am I kidding?! Most likely I will. Daddy's gotta eat, you know. Haha! GOTCHA!

Sir, you disappoint me, and reside on my Crap-On-A-Stick list. Most things are delightful on a stick, but crap on a stick, is still crap. Way to go.

The news about what is taken from this bill and what is going in changes hourly. If the AM-buu-lance scene didn't scare you enough, how about this:

A loophole in the Senate health care bill would let insurers place annual dollar limits on medical care for people struggling with costly illnesses such as cancer, prompting a rebuke from patient advocates.

The legislation that originally passed the Senate health committee last summer would have banned such limits, but a tweak to that provision weakened it in the bill now moving toward a Senate vote.

That's right, you sufferers of catastrophic diseases, limits. Maybe they'll give you enough to combat your illness, maybe they won't. It's their choice (AGAIN!), not yours.

Here's a passage that made me guffaw at the Dems stupidity:

Democratic officials of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee would not comment publicly but said the bill contains numerous provisions that will benefit patients with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, not to mention improvements in preventive care.

Advocates for patients say they're concerned the language will stay in the bill all the way to Obama's desk.

Translation: we'll pay for preventative care, but once you're sick you may as well drag yourself off to the woods, cause we gots limits!

Seriously, how the hell did we get to this place? When did We The People start rolling over for the elected in Washington? But more importantly, when are we going to get serious and take back what is ours? When are we going to rise up and kick their asses to the curb?

I hardly recognize this country anymore. I hear our angry rising voices, yet the effect is minimal.

The hard cold facts (not global warming...CLIMATE CHANGE....sheesh) tell me we are in the midst of a well-planned, expertly choreographed, years in the making, political coup. Our constitutional freedoms are being beaten out of us, one horrifying policy and kiddo fisting policy-maker at a time.

The daily question on my mind, as I witness the wrangling over deathcare, cap and tax, bailouts, stimulus revisited, add your cash drain here, IE who gets the power via our money, because that's what every Barry policy comes down to, is will this coup be successful?

In this season of hope, grace, mercy and forgiveness, the fight rages on. May we never falter in our quest for freedom. Freedom from tyranny. Freedom for all.

And Santa, if you are listening, all I want for Christmas is for Barry to FAIL, just like his secret new ambulance system.

Nice break down Patti, I think you're absolutely right on track. And isn't it stunning that this thing just gets worse and worse and worse. Now we're looking at a huge growth in government for . . . no change to the system at all? Wow, all cost and no gain. Nice.

Patti: Wow. That's a great collection of information in one place. Well done. This thing just keeps getting worse and worse. I'll be doing a much less in-depth discussion of the Reid Medicare Card Shuffle on Sunday, but it's going to look lame compared to your extensive collection.

I mentioned once before that I lost any respect for Lieberman, an orthodox Jew who had been theologically anti-abortion, when he suddenly became pro-choice solely to secure his spot as the vice-presidential candidate on the Democratic ticket. If he'll sell out his religious convictions for a political nomination, anything else is easy.
