Let Freedom Ring

Still, Pelosi knows better than you. She refuses to acknowledge your rising, insistent voices that Congress has got things wrong about death care, because as she herself has said, "I'm not big on showing weakness. It's not my thing."

Gotcha.

Here's our thing, Madame Speaker, we really don't care for your explanations and we plan on taking back what you are intent on stealing. You may want to start planning your future in a lesser job, a job without so much power, or as I like to think of it, a demotion for insubordination. I understand about not wanting to show weakness, but We The People are gonna hand you a lesson in humility that you won't soon forget. That's kinda our thing.

2010 is our battle cry. You may choose to ignore it, to poo-poo it, to laugh and point at it, but, as you folks in Washington like to say, make no mistake, we are coming for your jobs.

To all concerned Americans who left their jobs (even as the jobless rate climbs to over 10%) and their commitments yesterday to descend on Capitol Hill, to all of you who spent untold amounts of your own hard-earned dollars to be counted as present in the fight against a Congress that refuses to believe us when we say we aren't going away, that we are in this fight to the end, that we don't want this legislation, to all of you who armed yourself with cameras and camcorders to record, for prosperity or the Christmas newsletter, the words and images of members of Congress so that we could see and hear for ourselves, to all of you I offer my deep and heartfelt thanks. Patriots, all of you.

Outside, on the grassy lawn just steps from where Barack Obama took the oath of office, an endless lineup of rank-and-file lawmakers and conservative All Stars – Bachmann, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, actor Jon Voigt and Mark Levin, author of “Liberty and Tyranny” – demanded that the health care bill be torn asunder.

Yesterday, as I followed this event from home, as I listened to Bachmann and Voigt and Levin, and heard your strong and committed voices fill the air in support of their words, in the tradition of the many who have fought before us, I was moved to tears. I am moved to tears now. You encouraged those who weren't present in body. You strengthened our efforts. You scared the crap out of legislators who are against us and can't understand our unrelenting passion for liberty. You are great Americans and I thank you.

This fight isn't about Tea Parties or Astro-turfing. This fight isn't about hate or race. This fight isn't about Democrats vs. Republicans. This fight isn't about anything other than freedom.

THIS FIGHT IS ABOUT FREEDOM.

And just as our founding fathers before us, those who are showing up in Washington, those who are writing letters, those who are sending emails, those who are making phone calls, those who are blogging, those who are talking to their neighbors, those who are not standing down in the face of a mighty opposition, are committed to this endeavor for as long as it takes. The people involved in each of those activities do not take their freedoms for granted; we understand it was paid for by the blood of many for the life of all. We have a responsibility to honor that sacrifice. We take that responsibility, as all others, seriously.

So, get it right MSM. Get it right liberals. Get it right Congress. Get it right those who blindly follow Barry, no matter what he does or says. GET IT RIGHT.

THIS FIGHT IS ABOUT FREEDOM.

Trust us when we say that we will not accept anything less. Madame Speaker, showing weakness may not be your thing. But showing a fearless, unrelenting, penetrating strength, based on the ideals this great country was founded upon, that's totally our thing.

As always Patti, you tell it like it is. These Washington critters are in for a comings up in 2010. They’ve gone and pissed off the people that pay the freight, never a good idea to mess your own bed. If need be, fire’em all, and start over with the Founding Documents.
