Among other things, the agents are combing neighborhoods and asking people about suspicious purchases as well as seeking explanations as to how their guns ended up used in murders, kidnappings and other crimes in Mexico.
That line gave me the heebie-jeebies. But it gets worse with this:
So, if I make a legal purchase of a gun that gangsters prefer, go through the FBI check, do everything according to the law, I should expect agents at my door? Holy crap. I am counting on my readers who know the law to help educate me here. Is this legal?!

Apparently Barry has an vicious "evil eye" that he gives when he "meets with world leaders who are not aligned with his progressive views." Way to use diplomacy Bar. This look is not consistent with how he says he wants to govern, wishing to soften the view around the world that others have of Americans (you know, making up for everyone who hates us because of you know who) Maybe he's playing around with his signature thing. Maybe he's just trying on the evil eye until he finds his "Bush smirk" or his "Clinton Smarm".
Here's the link. I'd say it needs work.

Obama's Rasmussen numbers are FALLING. This makes me happy because he is bad for this country and others are starting to cross over and understand. FINALLY! This makes me sad because each one of us will pay for his reign.
Yesterday, as I contemplated the months past since January and the damage that has swiftly happened in this administration, I wondered when Barry's audacity will hit fever-pitch. I wonder when he'll attempt to rewrite the laws for the presidency and decide to stay on as long as we allow.
Call me an alarmist, crazy, insane even, but he has taken the liberty of power where none existed before coming into office. I hope to hell I am insane, but I can't say that it would surprise me if attempted.

The White House has their super majority with the win by Franken. It's anticlimactic. Most of us knew where this was headed. Do I care that he's a comedian? Nah. All kinds of folks can make great politicians. Reagan was a movie star for goodness sake. What I do care about is that he's on Barry's team. He can say stuff like:
But time will tell. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Let's see how he votes. That will tell us everything.

Made Me LOL of the Day (new segment!):
I've decided we need a laugh. Debbie-Downer news of the day needs a balance to all the helmet wearing head-banging. So when I am made to LOL by whatever is out there floating on the Internets (thanky Al Gore!) I am going to share it with you, my Not a Wonk compatriots, so that you may leave here with a sense of that no matter how asinine Washington gets, they can never take our LOLs.
I give you Jeff Goldblum's reported death (i lol'd the hardest around the 4:22 mark...funny stuff):

Patti,
I am not a gun fanatic. But it drives me crazy the way the ignorant media treats guns.
First of all, few people in America own automatic weapons. They are semi-automatic -- one pull on the trigger = one bullet. That makes them no different than a revolver except that the clip is bigger.
Secondly, reporters love to report things like "authorities also found more than 1000 rounds of ammunition."
Really? Wow! Of course, if you buy a big box of .22 ammo, it comes in 1000s. That use to run me $40 at Walmart back in the day.
I also hate the fact that they are obsessed with how guns look rather than how they function. Looks have nothing to do with killing power. A small, simple pink .44 is more dangerous than a totally tricked out, hyper-evil looking .22, but the media will always cringe in fear at the evil looking one. Idiot.
*rant ends*
The first part sounds a lot to me like Patriot Act business of trying to root our terrorists while innocent people get harmed in the process.
People's looks do give away how they're really feeling. He's the president, however, and is attempting to represent all of us.
Really, the only power I've seen him come into since entering office that was more this his predecessor was the buying of banks and businesses. That is something rather awful, but I still take that over my intense fear of the previous president any day.
I appreciated Franken's statement. He may end up being a great politician for his state.
The Goldblum shtick on Colbert has been awesome! Thanks for sharing!
"He's the president, however, and is attempting to represent all of us."
